Before joining the HubPages Team as Community Manager, I was a freelance writer, also certified in Massage, Aromatherapy and Health Education. I have been "writing" since before I could physically write, dictating stories, poems and thoughts to whomever was available to scribble them down, and won numerous competitions growing up.

I have a wry sense of humor and a passion for holistic health, women's issues, and the power of the written word.  Due to a long history of personal struggle, I have a particular ardor for the cause of eating disorder awareness, so if you are looking for someone who is not afraid to tackle taboo subjects such as body image and unconventional beauty, go ahead and favorite me!
