Hello and Happy New Year, everyone!  Patrice Johnson here.  I have a wonderful little girl and we are Florida natives.  I am relatively new to the internet scene.  I found myself 6 1/2 months ago at a crossroads.  Due to circumstances beyond my control I was faced with a decision to make.  I could sit back and hope things would get better or I could be proactive and work towards making an unexpected circumstance work in my favor.  I began teaching myself how to work the internet and while I have a long way to go, I have learned a great deal so far.  I have always enjoyed writing and I am looking forward to sharing my experiences and thoughts with all of you.  I am very hopeful that you will find the issues and topics enlightening, fun, and interesting.   The best part of this journey, thus far has been the terrific people I continue to meet regularly. I want to extend a special thank you to those of you who have provided advice and encouragement over the last several months.  It is truly appreciated, and it has helped to keep me going. I do not know where the journey is taking me, but I will keep going as that is half the adventure.
