Real Estate Guru on HubPages

I call myself a native Californian now because I've been here for over 30 years, however, I was born in New Jersey.  My passions are animals, their welfare, and their rescue from abuse.  My other passion is the real estate business.  I've been a Realtor for approximately 13 years and a Real Estate Broker for 5 years.  I absolutely love this business - even when it's declining.  Helping people to find their perfect home at a price and terms that they can afford is my ultimate goal.  I would do this business even if it didn't pay anything.  Really!!!

Animals have always been of great importance to me for as long as I can remember.  My mom often likes to tell the story of when I was young, picking up all the dead animals off the street and carrying them home to give them a decent burial.  Over the years I've belonged to many animal welfare and rescue groups in California and personally have only had rescued animals both cats and dogs and the occasional iguana as pets. 

In the course of my real estate career, I've also had to place animals that were to be left behind when the owners moved.  I'm happy to say that I've placed most of them, with only two ending up in Foster Care until good homes were found. 

Writing is a hobby of mine as well.  I think I hold the record for the most amount of novels started but never finished.  That's why this site was such a godsend to me.  Here's a place where I can write and post my thoughts on my favorite subjects and actually have them read by people and hopefully receive a comment or two on what I've written.  I look forward to writing lots of hubs and also to reading all of the wonderful hubs that are on this site.
