Rik Ravado on HubPages
Rik Ravardo is an international phenomenon. The mysterious stranger everyone wants to meet. A raconteur and one of the world's best chefs he is also immeasurably cool. From Jazz to drama. Rik is the king.
Visual arts are his bag. Literary prizes his oyster. He's travelled the world (including Second Life) almost as many times as he has dated the world's loveliest women. Yes, beautiful women adore him but then so do men, small puppies and mature squirrels (as long as nuts are on offer).
What about the real guy behind the myth? Originally trained as a physicist, I spent much of my life working in electronics, computer based systems and product marketing and development.
More recently I've moved into education and training. I'm a qualified science teacher (with a fear of children) and work for a large training company as a training analyst. I'm too creative and in touch with my feminine side to be a true geek, but I am fascinated by stuff like Web 2.0 and Virtual World technology.
I've recently ventured into Second Life (where I am known as Rik Latte) and you can find my first impressions of SL in some of my Hubs. Feel free to contact me in SL - I'll buy you a beer (or if you prefer a coffee).
Why not check out my blog RETROTECH? There you'll find weird, vintage technology and a generous dash of glamour. RETROTECH is where old fashioned things like girls, planes, trains, phones and computers merge. Where everything (including the girls) are bigger and better.
Where am I with HubPages? My key aim at present is to refocus my existing hubs so I draw most of my traffic from search engines and other websites rather than just from HubPages. I'm currently using Google Analytics to help me.
HubPages is a great place to learn about Web 2.0 and network with a great bunch of writers from around the globe.
