Rowdy Rhodes, Site Manager of the free writing links and resource web site Freelance Writing Organization - Int'l. (www.fwointl.com), author of Writers Site News, and creator of the Instant Writing Resources Tool Bar is also a world traveller, freelance article writer, Euchre fan, tournament pool shooter, and a lover of summer, baseball caps and postcards.

Primarily of Scottish and French descent, he was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He has worked at a variety of jobs including advertising sales, print publishing, computer consulting, and even as a sound engineer for bar bands.

Since 1999, after a month long stint becoming clean and sober in an alcohol rehab facility, he turned his compulsive behaviour toward writing, building web sites, freelancing articles and writing ad copy.

Described as "an innovator and pioneer," Rowdy has a unique sensitivity to the creative process, artistic stature, and the world of literature. As a professional writer and editor he continues to offer expert advice, guidance and support to fellow writers — the real nuts and bolts advice of writing, not "bunny fluff" and "circle speak."

He has nurtured and mentored many writers over the years and is a solution oriented person with a "Plan B" in his pocket at all times. He is straightforward, demanding, sometimes stubborn, and holds high standards for himself and his colleagues when it comes to writing and creativity. Rowdy is also one of those people who will put aside his own problems and focus on yours to help make you a more successful writer.

Besides being the primary family caregiver and facing other personal trials and tribulations in life he has a tireless commitment to the art and craft of writing, offering encouraging words and new ideas combined with compassion and empathy for writers in need.
