I have been a writer for much of my life, and I look forward to writing all kinds of different blogs for an audience.  I spend time reading them as well, and I'm very impressed with HubPages!

Why the squirrel? When my husband and I were traveling in Utah this spring, we met this little guy at Zion National Park.  He has a REAL little act going on!  He hides at first, and then when people are close he peeks out just like he is doing in the picture.  If you have food he gives quite the floor show!  If you don't have food he stays half in-half out.  Then he disappears again.   This blogging world is new to me, and I feel like I'm testing the waters too.  Since you are here now, I'm peeking out!  I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions.  If you offer me something I can use, you can be SURE I'm doing a floor show right in my office!

In real life, I'm happily married and a dedicated mom to a host of 4-legged (and one 3-legged)  family members.  We live in Portland, Oregon and absolutely love the "Portland Vibe."
