My passions include:

Mortgage Planning

Politics

My Children

As such, I write on a variety of topics which will bring together my three passions (not necessarily in the same thread) in an informative, non-commercial approach.  My goal in writing this hubpage is to provide the most cutting edge opinions on my three passions above.  It is my intent to have you, my faithful fans, leave my cite completely blown away by the content contained within.

Mortgage Planning is the process of integrating the mortgage decision into the overall life goals.  Money means nothing until it is transferred into lifestyle.  I mean if I have a $1,000,000 in the bank it might not mean the same as if I have a $1,000,000 condo on the beach that I can enjoy 20 years prior to retirement.

My approach is very simple:  31% of American net worth is tied up in the home completely unemployed & trapped.  We try to help our clients integrate the life goals into a mortgage planning strategy that helps them & their family safely protect their home equity for liquidity, rate-of-return, and tax advantages.

On the Political front, I believe that the Preamble to the US Constitution says it plain enough:

Protect Civil Liberties

Provide for the Common Defense

Promote Prosperity

As such, my opinions don't seek to make our government more efficient but rather to reduce it's size and score.  Let's face it, Fiscal 2009 US Government budget is $3,100,000,000,000.  Thats a lot of ZEROS.  Despite the spending cuts, the budget is still 6% ahead of fiscal year 2008.  Are you aware that if you spent over $350,000 a minute, non-stop for the next 19 years you wouldn't spend what our Federal Government is spending in 2009?

$3.1 Trillion is an amazing figure that is completely unsustainable.  We are also in one of the lowest income tax environments in the history of the country.  As more and more demands are placed on our government, taxes will rise.  & that impacts your long term wealth.

My kids are well . . My life!  After a recent divorce with my wife of 7 years, I have 3 lil ones who need their dad now more than ever.  Couple that with a 16 year old from my first marriage that I have raised since her birth unassisted by her biological mom and well . . . . you get the picture.

My second wife is a great woman and we just failed in our duties to one another.  However in working for the betterment of our children today, we are now the very best parents we can be.  Despite that, there is a stigma attached to being a single parent.  She experiences it & so do I.

Combined with the financial strains of two households and the day-to-day struggles for us both, there is. . . well lots to write about.  My goal in writing about my children stems from my belief that they are the only real things that keep you going when you feel down & out.

I recently met Chris Gardner in Las Vegas in 2007 and his story that was captured in The Pursuit of Happyness is one that sheds such a profound insight into what a lot of single parents go through for the most part in today's world.

So that's me in a nutshell:  crazy, spontaneous, brilliant, vocal, and I have an opinion.

I am looking forward to sharing our time together as you read along! :)
