Treasured Pasts on HubPages
I grew up in an Air Force family and was able to see many countries before finally settling in Roswell New Mexico. Since I was in high school, I was a treasure hunter. Back then it was arrowheads. Shortly before relocating to Colorado, it was metal detecting and the fascinating stories that went with the places we went and the things we found. The treasures multiplied into gem hunting, fossils, shells, and many other things. But the real treasure was the people and places that came with each adventure.
Three years ago, I published "A Guide to Colorado Trade Tokens" and endeavor that had both its rewards and its challenges.
Due to layoffs, we found ourselves in Commerce, Texas where I work full time at a hospital and look for opportunities that lend themselves to story telling.
My wife of 38 years and I now love to travel and build on our experiences. We I speak to groups about the treasures and stories taking our roving museum with us. We also try to point out the joys of the little known places and the humor in life. Now I can further share those stories. Enjoy!

I was an airforce "brat" too, briefly though, as my father retired when I was 4...in Alaska :-) ... we have somethings in common! Looking forward to more of your hubs! Have you been to Montana yet?
