First and foremost, I'm the exceptionally proud single mother of two adult children: ages 28 and 24. My 28-year old son is the proverbial technology geek who has carved a successful career out of his love of bits and bytes. More important, he is a gentle, compassionate soul with a wry sense of humor, a strong sense of justice and many loyal friends.
My 24-year old daughter just began her first year of law school. That in itself speaks of her stunning intelligence and seriousness of purpose. But she is also that rare individual who lives a life of grace and harmony. Funny, compassionate and generous are the words I use to describe her. She is beautiful both inside and out.
I have two babies: Roxy the Min-Pin and Baxter the Bichon whose unconditional love and antics keep me energized and amused. I'm also blessed with a loving and supportive extended family of sisters, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews.
My career journey has taken me from employee to business owner. After 20 years in the legal field, I jumped to a different path, serving nonprofit organizations. Eventually, I opened my own consulting firm in 2000 where I provide management and event planning services to local and national nonprofit organizations. I also operate a growing marketing company specializing in the sale of promotional products and advertising specialties.
I earned my Liberal Arts degree from the University of the State of New York. But learning is a lifelong process and so I continue to educate myself through self-teaching and being an engaged observer of the human condition. My goal is to learn something new every day and my vision is to use what I know and what I can do to make the world a better place. My overriding belief is that all things are possible.
