Really I enjoy a good laugh and a joke. And I love Hubpages - mainly as a place to write, talk, make friends, occasionally disagree with others, make money - slowly, but in the main to write and publish my own work.

I am known as Anne or Annie. I live in in a small heritage town in country NSW in Australia. I have been a closet scribbler since I was very young and have always loved "stories" in any form so there has been a natural progression to putting them down on paper so that others can also enjoy a bit of a laugh.

I write poetry, tell stories about family, friends, raising my children and also animals I have known and loved - some of my work is funny, some tongue in cheek and some serious. I am very aware of environmental issues and how in time it will affect us and our children and our children's children's lives if we don't act now! My background is in Commercial Property Management and Security so in time I will write about issues that are of concern and items on "how to" in these areas. During the course of my work I have written a number of technical manuals for my employers.
