Hello, thanks for stopping by and welcome to my "hubiography!"

My name is Jeannie (aka aries3296), and I have been a member of HubPages since February 2009, and just from visiting other Hubbers and the creation of my own, I can honestly say that I am having a lot of fun! I enjoy the community spirit, and it gives me the opportunity to do what I love most of all. I have a platform self-expression writing articles on my favorite subjects that inspire or inform. I have a myriad of topics that will be available and plenty of resources as well, including but not limited to political issues, low cost vacation hideaways, inexpensive gourmet recipes, wellness, health tips, parenting and family, money management, relationships and sexual wellness, ideas, travel and so much more.

I have completed college with a major in literature and creative writing. At that time, I thought my career would lead me to teaching, life led down a different path through the years, and I found myself back in school studying laboratory science, then doing an internship for a forensic research, and finally changing gears again to certify as a medical transcription. Now, I am pursuing my passion of writing for various forums.

I come from a heritage that is rich in diversity, which has augmented my life in so many ways. I have a broad outlook towards the world around me. I studied classical piano for 16 years and enjoy playing, and presently I am taking some music theory classes and working on ear training. I want to improve my technique in playing by ear. I have an appreciation most types of music, but I am a head banger from the 80s (smile) and love today's sounds as well. I am a big "Cold Play" and "Foo Fighters" fan. I love Latin classical guitar, especially Mediterranean. One of my favorite guitarists is Marc Antoine.

I am a wife, mother, writer, musician and singer; I practice meditation, guided imagery and visualization, a vivacious woman with a passion for living. I enjoy reading, writing, Pilates, RopeSport (jump roping), and inline skating. I have two children. My daughter is 11 years old and my son is nine with a history of sensory integration disorder (autism). Because of my autistic son, I choose to work from home. He is so special to me and needs so much love and attention. I my children are one of my many blessings, and I enjoy so much the privilege that I am their mother. I am a very spiritual person. I believe we are more powerful than we credit ourselves. There are things that we do not have control over; however, all of us have the ability to change most anything in our lives that we really want even with all that is going on in the world around us.
