Desert Blondie, an author that I hope readers will enjoy as a fun personality and writer. About the moniker: my photo makes the blonde part obvious. The desert part is a reflection of a combination of where I live and the anachronistic expression of unusual beauty. The desert is a living and evolving place -- with unexpected surprises over each new horizon.
My life has been full of pursuits of all things beautiful/masterful/unique. But like everyone, I've endured a generous amount of life's not-so-great experiences as well.
I hope you find my writing thoughtful and lively, and occasionally even sassy (okay -- often brazenly self-promoting). My writing about things of beauty is informed by my varied career roles. I’ll write about travels around the USA and beyond, art in all forms from painting to movies, reading great writing of almost any topic or genre, nurturing --raising everything from plants to children (to brag, I seem to have a green thumb with both categories), and healthy living (my latest obsession after a recent cancer scare).
My favorite roles in life are as the mother of two fantastic daughters/young women and as wife of one darling, supportive hubby. Without my treasured trio, I can’t imagine how my life and spirit would have evolved.
I’ve lived in several cities and towns, which also affect my views, having seen so many variations there are on “normal life” in the USA.
