From Corporate Caterer to Cleaning Lady I became an intentional riches to rags story!   Life was getting bigger then myself and the path was clear.. clean out the house, sell it and move west to start a more simple life. In Portland Oregon I fell in love had a baby and started wondering "what am I gonna do with my life?"   The journey led me to the South to the mountains of Asheville.  I became a Doula which paid $0 and was more of a volunteer endevor and worked part-time at the YMCA.  I met a gal there who cleaned houses for all the rich people in town.  She wanted to go back to her full-time gig so she gave all her cleaning clients to me!  It was just what I needed solitude, excercise and finally some $$ to contribute to household expenses!  The first thing I did was get rid of all chemical cleaners, signed up for a small business workshop in town and came up with a name  Planet Healthy Houskeeping.

I expanded my green business and partnered with Green Irene eco-consulting.   My outlook is that it isn't hip to be eco-conscious its just basic common sense!  We live on an "Island" a tiny speck of blue floating and spinning around in an infinate universe!  There are no life-boats as far as I see, so we better keep the Island clean.  I look forward to educating folks as a Green Irene consultant.  We can live sustainable lives without guilt or shame for how we used to be. Plus we can make changes without spending a ton of money or turning our lives upside down.
