Hi there! My name is Emie. I am from the Philippines. I am a Certified Public Accountant, and has been so for the past 12 years. I have always loved writing but I have been previously limited to writing things that are related to my profession. During the last six months, I have increasingly written about a lot of things, academic or otherwise, and have discovered that writing is something I really want to pursue in the long term. By joining Hubpages, I hope that I will write more and learn more about my favorite topics, read other people's hubs and, in general, have fun while writing. I hope to meet other people, too.

I'm 34 years old and have been married for almost three years. I'm married to a great man who puts up with my long hours in front of the computer and who encourages me to write. He also puts up with my whining over my numerous problems. He is my rock and my steadying factor in life.

We have 2 dogs (a terrier-maltese breed and a doberman-pinscher, both female) and two cuddly, cute puppies.

I love to eat, especially food from my country and sushi / sashimi.  I love to travel and will travel around the Philippines and world in a heartbeat if I have the means.

I'm not much into promoting my hubs yet (still learning the ropes on backlinking, etc.) but I did become a member of She Told Me. And one of my scoops on Jabbawockeez had, at one time, one of the highest votes in this site =).

By the way, I was just given a new assignment as a (new) blogger in http://iwanttobeaca.blogspot.com/. It is basically about accounting. Check out my blogs under the same name (I'm just new at this so please, be gentle in your comments).
