I am a professional chef currently working in a hotel in Dublin,Ohio, just outside of Columbus. I grew up in Celina,Ohio, a little small town in MidWest Ohio. I graduated high school from there and moved to Columbus to go to college at DeVry Unversity for Computer Information Systems. But after realizing that computers weren't really my calling,and looking back on working at Welch's Restaurant all through high school, I realized what I wanted to do. I quickly transferred to Columbus State Community College to pursue my Chef ceritification. Upon my acceptance I had to get a job in a restaurant and La Chatelaine, in Upper Arlington, called me and offered me a job. I took the job and began working there in September 2003 and I worked there until this year in September. I graduated from college in March of this year and began searching for a career, not just a job. I currently am working at the Hilton Garden Inn in Dublin as a breakfast and lunch chef, but I just accpeted a position at THE Ohio State University Faculty Club. I will begin working there in 2 weeks and I look forward to expanding my knowledge of the industry and meeting new people.
