My name is Patrick King. I am a life long resident of Springfield, Illinois.  On August 1, 2009, I married the love of my life, Lisa. 

I love writing. Some of my favorite topics include music, TV, talk radio, politics, food, travel, and business.

I am a big sports fan and many of my hubs will be about the state of sports. My favorite teams include the Chicago Bears, St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Penguins, and the University of Illinois Fighting Illini.  I am an avid golfer and play as often as possible.

I have held a variety of different jobs in my lifetime. Currently, I work in the purchasing department of a wholesale pharmaceutical company.

I am involved in the Knights of Columbus in Springfield, where I served as Recording Secretary and newsletter editor from 2005 to 2009. 

I have been a community spokesperson for the United Way of Central Illinois and was featured in their ad campaign in 2003.  I have assisted with other charitable organizations in the Springfield area.
