I currently work for a large enterprise as a systems admin, which takes up too much of my time and energy these days. I am looking forward to retirement in another year to pursue my dream of being free, free, free. I love photography & travel (see my travel photos site www.marlandc.com), blogging, buddhist arts, learning new things, researching and fine wines. My true loves are my sweetie (and intrepid travel companion) and darling cat Bangs. Actually my partner is a travel planner extraordinaire. I keep telling her she should quit her day job and do that full time!
I'm looking forward to writing lots of content and making new friends on HubPages. And I am nurturing 2 blogs in my spare time, Buddhist-Arts - Experiencing Buddhism through Photography and But What Now? Finding your Passion in Retirement
A new site I'm working on is OutdoorLightingChoices.com. Its focus is on eco friendly outdoor lighting, especially solar and dark sky. I'm very intrigued by the entire dark sky movement and have become a member of IDA.
