My name is Natasha and I am a freelance writer/editor and work in the California State Department of Finance. A better name for what I do would be policy analysis and negotiation. too many people think that the Department of Finance is made of accountants, and that is just not me.
I have gone to too much school (college, law school and now graduate school) and have found it all to be useless. But I ultimately want to teach community college here in CA, so I need to finish the MA program.
I like politics. I love politics. I like political science too. So not just the politicians and news cycles, but things like Constitutional Law, the Supreme Court, Budgets, Education, et al.
I am a conservative Republican - which puts me in the minority of women, and the minority of CA. Which is too bad. I think Republicans, conservatie ones especially, get a bad shake in the media. People tend not to like them because they aren't exposed to them.
I don't like uneducated voters and people who spout ideology from the hip. If you can back up what yo uare saying with facts, go right ahead. But don't spout a liberal agenda at me because you think it is going to make me change my mind. Or because you think that all the liberal propaganda is correct.
I am a new mom. I love that job. It is the most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life.
