supertill on HubPages

I find describing myself on a profile to be extremely frustrating and exciting.
What do I say that can really capture who I really am? I believe we are all works in progress.
Always learning and growing. That's my perception of life and I love meeting and talking with people with that same outlook on life. OK…here goes:

I love talking/discussing with people on a one-on-one basics about subjects some might find 'strange' or 'bizarre', e.g., UFOs. I've seen UFOs two times in my life. Hey, I'm a believer. I love treasure hunting, e.g., exploring ghost towns, metal detecting on the beach. . I like learning how HubPages can be useful in one's life and how to utilize the resources that Hubpages offer.

I'm 75 and full of piss and vinegar. I exercise 3/4 times a week lifting weights, cables and the treadmill. I always challenge my two sons to stay up with me or pass me. I'm sure they sometimes wonder, "where I'm coming from".

I'm married to a very understanding Virgo (I'm Cancer) who lets me do my own thing, and I, her. Fortunately, we have a lot of similar interests. I believe similar interests keep a couple together and compromise and listening to the other person is the answer to a lot of issues rather than being 'right'. I'm sure that I left out a lot of different things about me that would make me sound wonderful. However, I'm just an ordinary guy who enjoys getting up every morning and seeing what the universe is offering on the menu for my selection of the day.

"The Secret" (Law of Attraction) sure has attracted a lot of attention in the past couple of years. I read the book and saw the movie. I even have my own web site:

.....however I think Napolean Hill covered that same basic ground many years ago in his book "Think and Grow Rich", his idea could be summarized as C / B / A.

Conceive

Believe

Achieve

Wherein you Conceive of the idea, Believe you can do it, and then Achieve the goal.

Not a bad plan.

To each his own
.

Doesn't that make you feel like dancing? Okay, take a look at Matt and what he has done for dancing:

My Book

As you can see from the photo at the top of this profile, I've been around for a few years! My book,

www.managersdontreadthis.com,

will introduce you to the world of fads, myths, and assumptions disguised as unquestionable facts and strategies that toss conventional common sense out the window. I will share secrets I have discovered from more than 40 years of hands-on management, leadership, and training experience.

In the last 40 years, I've looked at and trained on many different management models, methods and techniques. No, this small book is not based on comprehensive research, rather, it is experience- based. As a manager, you've really got your work cut out for you sorting through all the endless heaps of lofty management theories and inflated fads and myths claiming to be the 'holy grail'. Being a 'Great Manager' is not as easy as it seems.

I never discovered the 'holy grail' of management or managing…only nebulous theories that eventually , like cotton candy, melted away.

I did discover some secrets. And a few contraditions. The 'book' tells all.
