I lived in the beautiful Sacramento Mountains of Southcentral New Mexico for 4 years. I lived in an off grid, unfinished cabin on five acres that border the Lincoln National Forest. My cabin was a split level timber frame. I heated and sometimes cooked with a wood stove, I cought rainwater, and I powered my cabin with solar panels and batteries. My goal was to live as self sufficiently and eco friendly as I could. I have been a writer of one sort or another for most of my life but consider myself an outdoor history writer now. My hobbies include mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, caving, photography, and taking care of my dog Riley.
