Basically, I am a very active writer and have been a professional astrologer since the mid 80's. Even though I had a scientific background and had even obtained a doctorate in dentistry (DMD) (medical school 2yrs dental school 2yrs) from Boston University, I became very inteRested in the Hare Krsna movement and travelled to the west coast in the 80's, then later to India, where I met my Guru and became an "initiated brahmin".

I was one of his last disciples before he passed on to the Higher realm. I returned to Florida and helped to open an ashram near Miami and was delighted when my own teacher's successor actually came to our little ashram on his first world tour. He was extremely gracious. 

During that time, I sudied astrology and  the Bhagavad-gita and found an interest in counseling others through astrology. I have had some success with helping couples to find their mates, and also counseling others when they hit "snags" in their lives. 

Most recently, even though I had been avoiding politics for some time, as I had been a political junkie in the past, a friend asked me to do a prediction for the 2008 Presidential election. What happened, though, was that one of the principal candidates hid his birth certificate and that created a huge problem. Finally, after months of asking him politely for documents, a prominent Philadelphia lawyer filed a federal lawsuit.

That was how a got back into politics this year. Of course, as of now, 8/30/08, it's not over, and the whole landscape seems to be changing almost daily. Since the Berg lawsuit is on a "fasttrack" as ordered by the Federal Judge, it still remains to be seen who will be the official Democratic nominee,

Some people seem to feel that it is an anomaly for someone who practices yoga to be alos involved with politics. However, if you actually read the Bhagavad gita As it is with a proper translation by Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Maharaj, you will come to understand that it is actually a conversation between Krsna (God) and Arjuna, a soldier. during that convesation, Actually in the 2nd chapter, Krsna describes the nature of the soul and also explained that each soul had its own dharma. In the case of Arjuna, he was a soldier.

And, so it is with me. As George Orwell said "In a age of deceit, the truth is revolutionary."
