I'm a...Excuse me a minute -

"Ok, ok, Scooter. Fine. I'll mention you first.. See, I'm typing it now..."

If you like Billie's essays a little, you'll really like mine a lot! Check out my Shitzu-Llapsa wisdom on Scooter-the-Dog Blog at: www.windmillworks.com/id75.html

Now where was I? (Ei! Little dogs have so much power).  Anyway...I am a former teacher of the deaf, sign language interpreter, writing tutor, and a myriad of other former things.  Right now, I'm  just a frizzy- headed, left-handed seeker of something that I'll know when it appears.  (One of my favorite quotes is from Tennyson's Ulysses:  "...to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.")

I own Windmill Works Educational Products (www.windmillworks.com) and get crazy (well, let's say creative) ideas for the content of educational software that my husband programs.  The latest is our Presidential Solitaire which now has versions featuring Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton that we hope people will love to play and order so I can devote more time to writing.  I also create the content for our do-it-yourself computer memory game, Game Maker-Lite.  Trial versions are on our site under the various product pages.

Our website also carries the cool and most wonderful product, removable transparent highlighter tape that allows people to highlighter texts, navigation charts, knitting patterns, etc.  www.myhighlightertape.com

I also have created a few podcasts of my essay collection, "Live From Milwaukee, It's Tuesday Night," at www.podiobooks.com where anyone can subscribe quickly and easily. These are audio productions of some of my essays. (There are also great novels from other authors on this site, more essays, children's stories and more.  To hear my particular group of essays, click on "essays" and go to "Live from Milwaukee.." Most recently I feel privileged to be able to post some of my essays at www.mypeacecity.com, a site that features activies and events connected with peace and social justice issues in the Twin Cities area.

But of all the web sites I mentioned my FAVORITE is my daughter's - actor, singer, stand-up comedian, improv performer, and my kid! You might have seen her in the touring production of Mamma Mia, or on an episode of The Sopranos or, if you were in LA - at one of the comedy clubs. Bethany's site is at: www.bethanypagliolo.com. Bethany also has clips on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/user/bpagliolo and at: www.funnyordie.com/bethanytherese

Thank you for having read this blurb.  Wherever you are may your day be filled with all that's dearest to you. Here's to all of us as we 'strive and seek and never yield.'

Cheers,

Billie
