Im down to earth person i have a very sweet personality im shy and quite most of the time, until i get to know someone
was born in Kentucky and Raised in Raleigh, NC. Since the day I was born she always founded myself on a journey wanting to always learn different and exciting things. At the age of five years old Kimberly started singing and since then she always had the passion for writing when she turned eight she started to write poetry which she used for some lyrics to create songs. When Kimberly is not singing or writing lyrics I is enjoy life in the garden and writing more poetry; or just spending time with the family. Im a daughter and a sister to four brothers and hopefully will be a mother one day to children of her own. At the age of 25 I made a choice to go back to school to take up early childcare. Even though I love music but love children just as much and knowing that going back to school is not going to be a piece cake, taking classes at Wake Technical College in childcare helps me understand kids a lot more and to get closer to them and to help them for ones who need it the most and my her going back school it makes feel like I am heading in the right direction in life. So therefore, writing is my passion and one day I am going to love to teach children how to write poetry in my classroom as well as help them develop in their formative years and teach them all the valuable lessons in life. Most people would probably percerive me as begin stuck up but im not stuck up in the least but. i think that im a sweet person to get along with as long as u don..t try to hurt me i don..t out with many people because they start drama then try to be your freind i don..t get down with that.
Smoking
Being pregnant is such a happy time for me right now; knowing that I am bringing another life into this world gives me much joy. Now that I am responsible for another person I have decided to take better care of myself and I have decided to quit smoking. Now some of you have said that there is no need to do that, however I feel as though the risk of smoking greatly outweigh the benefits.
Here are some facts that I would like to share with you about why I have decided to quit; smoking causes low birth weights, some premature deliveries, and even miscarriages. I know we all want to at least meet the baby. Even if my baby survives, smoking causes my baby’s heart rate to increase, the risk of him having respiratory problems increases, and the amount of oxygen that the baby and I receive decreases.
That right there is enough for me to say, you know what a cigarette is not that important. However the baby’s dad has decided that he’s not going to stop smoking and that is not ok with me. Second hand smoke is just as bad if not worse than me smoking. Second hand smoke increases the risk of the baby developing lung cancer, heart disease, emphysema, allergies, asthma, and other health problems. Second smoke also increases the risk of my baby developing SIDS. Even the smoke that comes burns off the end of a cigarette contains harmful substances. So since he won’t quit smoking, I am asking that one of you open up the door to your to him because he is not going to smoke in my home or around me.
I love you guys and the same rules apply to you all as well. I will not be around you all if you decided to smoke or if you smoke in your home. I am going to do all it takes to have a healthy baby; you never know I could be carrying the next president.
Smoking moms and their child
Smoking makes it harder to conceive, irrespective of which partner smokes.
Both female and male smokers have lower fertility levels, while adults who were born to mothers who smoked have less chance of becoming a parent themselves. Smoking also reduces the chances of IVF succeeding.
It's thought nicotine reduces a woman's fertility by affecting the production of hormones that are necessary for pregnancy. Smoking also impedes the transportation of the egg through the Fallopian tubes to the womb.
Male smokers tend to have a sperm count that is 15 per cent lower than that of non-smokers. Smoking can also:
reduce the amount of semen
harm the motility of sperm, ie their ability to move around
affect their shape.
Smoking can also affect the blood vessels that supply the penis, causing erection problems.
If you're trying for a baby, all of the above could impair fertility.
Quitting smoking will increase your ability to conceive and your likelihood of success with IVF.
Why is it harmful to smoke during pregnancy
A baby in the womb gets everything from its mother. Nutrients and oxygen come via the placenta and umbilical cord. Smoking not only exposes the foetus to toxins in tobacco smoke, but it also damages placental function.
When a person smokes, some of the oxygen in their blood is replaced by carbon monoxide. If a pregnant woman smokes, her blood and therefore her child's blood will contain less oxygen than normal. This can cause the foetal heart rate to rise as baby struggles to get enough oxygen.
The particles in tobacco smoke contain different toxic substances that change the blood's ability to work in a healthy and normal manner. This can affect the placenta that feeds the baby.
Smoking, is harmful to your body. Therefore, comes as no surprise that smoking while pregnant is ill-advised. Smoking is not only bad for the mother; it is also detrimental for the development of the unborn fetus. There is an increase of miscarriage while smoking while pregnate.Serious, complication during labor include premature birth and even stillbirth. The implications of smoking on the baby range from having a lower birth weight. When the unborn fetus is completely reliant on its mother to provide food, nutrients and oxygen. The oxygen supply to the baby is reduced due to the increase of nicotine and carbon monoxide in the mother's bloodstream causing the baby's heart to work harder as it tries to collect more oxygen, thus placing the fetus under great stress. The fetus also has to struggle with receiving fewer nutrients as nicotine constricts the blood vessels in the placenta which is designed to provide the infant's nutritional requirements.
Well, I came to let you all know that Im having a baby and I am very excited. I not only gathered us all here to tell you my wonderful news but, to express the importance of how staying healthy for my baby means to me. As you know we are a family of smokers. My spouse has no intentions of quiting and although it saddens me, I am committed to stop for the sake of my child. So, if you wish to visit I would ask that you do not smoke around me.I hope that you all will be supportive with my decision and will remain a active part of my life although I will not be smoking due to health issues and wanting to make a change for myself and baby.
