Female Tricks On Men for Love and Money

Updated on March 4, 2011

I guess this topic has a door that swings both ways. Both sexes are guilty for it, however, at least in the media, the female sex is always  portrayed in the role. Take poor Brandon Walsh in Beverly Hills 90210. Fairly typical, nice looking dude back in 1997, in Season 8 of that award winning show. He and Kelly finally rediscover one another again after all the years he suffered watching Dylan get Kelly in High School. They are deep in love, so the script tells us, the perfect couple, some think, yet Emma arrives and in only a few episodes the diabolical female sex wrecks havoc on Brandon's and Kelly's stalwart relationship.

Who is Emma?

While all the females in 90210 are killers, Emma, is by far, a killing machine who uses her sexual allure, scent, appeal, physical appearance to, at first, intrigue Brandon with sexual innuendo and hints, without ever saying much. Brandon tries to keep business to just that, but with each Emma encounter, she teases him, plays with him as a toy because she sees Brandon is fighting temptation. Emma plays it with finesse, which would allow her to pull back at a moment's notice with "innocence". Brandon, while he knows what is happening, tries to fight the sexual thoughts, tries to stay business-like, tries to remind himself it is wrong, knows he loves Kelly, yet with each encounter with Emma, his defenses falter a bit as the viper wraps around him. Emma wants no money this time, she wants Brandon and even befriends Kelly to get at him.

Emma, like some women, use their body, their look, to achieve a goal. Other women find that intellect is a better weapon, especially, if they lack that "Emma" look. If the woman has both characteristics as Emma does, woe to men. Of course, we have not even considered a persons morality or personality, right or wrong, many do whatever it takes to achieve a goal, many will "draw a line in the sand" as to what they will do to reach a goal.

Guys instinctively know an "Emma" when they encounter them. All guys probably have had one Emma in their lives. Many guys will play along but when they realize they are the ones being teased, they will end it. Some men can easily avoid the weapons Emma may does at them, others, like Brandon, can fight the good fight but lose all in the end when all resistance has collapsed and the brief affair ensues.

Emma was diabolical. Her sexual desires were satisfied yet she wanted more. Brandon, filled with remorse, now repelled all of her weapons but one: Emma needed reassurance she was good in bed. Brandon, unsuspecting, confirmed it verbally as Emma recorded it on the phone. Emma's advances all failed. Brandon fired her from the newspaper. Emma sought revenge and gave the tape to Kelly.

A TV show, yes, but women have potent weapons in their arsenal.
