For Your Information - Dear Hub Friends
Hi Friends!
I've missed you so much. I have tuned in and read your work now and then, because I missed you. I've even hopped a few hubs.
I must confess that I was invited to a wonderful, private, website and allowed to publish my so far unpublished novel. So I edited the novel and published it there. The feedback was most helpful and encouraging that I will be looking for a publisher out in the paper world very soon.
Having said that, there are some things I want to share with you, my faithful and loyal friends here on hub pages (and any one else who cares to read).
First, my precious daughter, SueRoy has been noticeably missing among your ranks. There is a very good reason for this. She has successfully opened up her own thrift store (The Willow Tree) in the small poverty stricken town of under 1000 residents, close to where she lives.
The Willow Tree came to fruition from Susan's mind to the reality practically single handed! I am so proud of her. She does not take consignments, but is the sole person selling items.
She got the word out that she was taking donations. They have flooded in by the truckload and gone out quite well. All of her clothes are for sale for $1.00, that is unless she decides that she wants to give them away (which she has done more than once). She has tons of novelty items that all sell from .50 cents all the way up to $7 (although I did not see anything over 3.00 when I was there.
She makes enough money to pay the rent and utilities. Her little store is not there to make her rich, but truly to serve. She sure honors her momma!
Needless to say, the community in which she lives so much appreciates The Willow Tree and it's proprietor, that she is getting to know most of them.
I visit on occasion and it is fun to watch the old fashioned way of doing business and the love shared in that one room Thrift Store.
I do know, when it is possible she will be coming back to Hub Pages.
However.. take note all of you political folks who love to banter with my girl - she has become the new Clerk Treasurer of her town, due to take office January 2012. Aren't you surprised? Nah, I didn't think so. I think that she is the best thing that ever hit that little town and we will be watching it grow and prosper!
Now that I have shared all of that, I'll just say - I am going to be writing hubs again - especially about Fibromyalgia and the family.
I so much enjoy reading all of your work and look forward to becoming an active member of your community once again.
May happiness flow through your veins
May joy permeate like stains
May the sun shine forever in and through your heart
And may you always know, in this venue, what is your part!
Happy Hubbing!
