Moving into college: How not to be homesick
College can be exciting. Being away from your parents, being able to do what you want. However it can be a transition. Here are ways not to feel homesick.
1) Keep in touch with friends and family. The first week call at least one person whom you are close too.
2) Join clubs and activities where you can meet new people.
3) Focus on your work.
4) Try doing things with your roommate.
5) Have some people in your class come over one night for pizza.
6) Attend events on campus.
As time goes on you will get more comfortable. You will adjust to college life and when it is time to return home you will miss your friends at college.
