My Best Friend & I

This coming Saturday the 27th my best friend and I will be celebrating our 10 year friendship. I can't believe its been 10 years. Its crazy! I can still remember the first day we met. Picture it! (Like Sophia would always say on the Golden Girls) It was my first day of my sophomore year and I was waiting for the bus. I saw this chick with her mom coming up to wait for the bus too and I glanced at her and smiled. I thought she was a freshmen because I didn't know her and the people in my 2004 class; most of them I've known since 3rd grade. Anyway her mom looked at me and asked me if I was going into the 10th grade and I had said "yes" and she said her daughter Inez was too.

The bus finally came and we boarded. When we got to school I had told Inez bye and went off to find my friends. The first week of school was busy and at lunch I would always see Inez by the A building and felt really sorry for her cause she didn't know anyone and she was all alone. On the 2nd week of school I finally went up to Inez at lunch and asked her to come hang out with my friends and I. She was pretty hesitate to come with us, but I told her she would be fine and she agreed.

Since that day I can't imagine life without her. She is like the sister I never had. We've had so much fun in the last 10 years together. High school for me would have sucked major if she wasn't there. I just hope that the next 10 years her and I are still best friends and plenty of more memories are yet to come.
