The Award
Thank you all so much for your support to the hubbing community, as when I told you all about the exhibition last year you all gave some lovely comments and words of support.
Now I can show you what I went to do and the exhibition.
For the holocaust memorial day of remembrance 2011 (Jan 27th) I set up an exhibition for the LGBT untold stories, It was an exhibition based on my articles and thesis that I wrote about the homosexual victims of the holocaust and the horrible things that were done to them by the Nazis.
I wrote a time line that began from 1800s right through to present day telling the story of how the LGBT got our rights in England, America & Germany and how times have changed and the equal status we now have in society from the illegal status we once knew.
My Exhibition has been shown in the Lesbian & Gay Foundation (LGF) which is a branch of stonewall in Manchester (north west England) and recently my exhibition was shown at Blackpool Gay Pride in June, I did all the research for 15yrs from I was merely ten years old and I never expected the award that I received from the LGF but on the day they presented me with it I cried, because I had never been given any thing like that before in my life, I won the Homo Heroes Award which is an award given to people who fight and educate those against homophobia and Racism.
I have placed a photograph of my award and also my exhibition so that you can see the panels that I created many of these panels you will find as articles on my page such as: Christopher Isherwood, Homosexuals Forgotten Victims, Dr Carl Vaernet, Dr Magnus Hirschfeld. to name a few.
