The Gloom and Doom Friend
True friends usually have their friends best interest at heart. Some people act like they are your friend when they are not. Ever heard the saying "I am not trying to hurt you, I am just being honest?" Sometimes they are being brutally honest because in fact they do want to hurt you.
Any friend who tries to brainwash you and make you second guess yourself is not your friend. True friends chose their words carefully. They don't say "He lost interest," they may tell you to forget a guy but they won't kick you when you are down.
A true friend is supposed to be there to pick you up when you are down. Any friend who makes you feel worse instead of better is not a friend.
If you are excited about a trip and a friend turns it around as if it is not important that is not a friend.
Most importantly a friend will never make you change your values or make you feel bad about your choices in life. If a friend makes fun of you because you are a virgin at 25 is not a friend. They may be different and maybe they aren't one but they won't make you feel bad for your decision. They will accept you the way they are. They won't say you are going to be alone forever because of it.
If you have a friend who is always negative break yourself from that person. Sometimes honesty isn't always the best policy and if someone looks at the downside of every situation they are considered a toxic friend.
