Guys and Staring

Updated on June 9, 2013

Guys, how many times have you faced this scenario? You are shopping with your lady, when all of a sudden you see a very attractive woman pass by. Your eyes are looking before you realize that you’re significant other is still right next to you, and you have successfully made yourself look like a jerk to all parties involved. While looking at another woman is sometimes a reflexive action we can’t help, the following tips may just help keep you out of the dog house if used properly.

Commenting On Fashion

While keeping current with women’s fashion isn’t exactly considered a manly activity, knowing the difference between a cardigan, and a bolero jacket could give you just the excuse you need when your eyes have betrayed you to your lady. Making a comment about the other woman’s fashion sense, usually in a negative fashion, will demonstrate to your lady that you can talk about important topics that she is interested in. At the same time it excuses your eyes for lusting over another woman. A good example would be, “Sweetheart that chiffon top would look so much better with your figure, maybe we should stop by the store and see if we can find it for you.”. It’s important to know the technical terms for clothing, because it makes you seem like you know what you’re talking about. Start watching “Project Runway” if you need to brush up on your fashion terms.

Wearing Shades On Sunny Days

Wearing shades is the perfect disguise for wandering eyes, but don’t be stupid about it. Wearing shades indoors or at night makes you look silly, and will probably alert your lady to your intentions rather than disguise them. Shades are good for a walk in the park or on the beach, which are exactly the places you will find the most attractive women to divert your attention. Don’t get caught looking when temptation is around every corner, get your pair of shades today.

Misdirection

If you’ve ever wondered how magicians can make things disappear right before your eyes, the answer is misdirection. By distracting your lady with, say a sale on Coach purses, she is less likely to notice the gorgeous female who has just walked by you. You get your cheap thrill, and your lady will be none the wiser, but this technique can get expensive if you use it too often with all the Coach purses you’ll probably have to buy.

These techniques while helpful aren’t 100% fool proof, so if you really don’t want to get caught by your lady then stop being a dog and give her you undivided attention. There will always be attractive women in the world to tempt you, but if your lady is truly special then your eyes should be on her and not Miss Second Best. With that being said, guys use common sense when using these techniques, and make sure your lady doesn’t see this list.
