How can I get started putting my poems on here and make a little cash
I would like to put my poems on here what way would be the best way to go about doing it?
If I were going to put my poems on here (I'm not a poet or even a fiction writer), this is how I would do it: I would make each poem its own individual hub. I would also put an SEO-friendly explanatory paragraph before the poem that tells people a little bit about it, but it's 'real' function is to help the search engines find your poem.
For example, suppose you wrote a poem about a bear. The word 'bear' might not show up in your poem all that much. Yet, you'd want people searching for 'poem about bear' to find your poem. So you could start with a sentence/paragraph saying something like "This is a poem about a bear. It is told from the bear's point of view. This was inspired by..... [whatever inspired you to write it]".
Try to mentally group your poems by topic or genre, too. Why is this important: I suggest that at the end of your poem-hub, put links to a few of your other (related) Hub poems (e.g. "if you liked this poem about a bear, you may like these other poems" and then put in links to your poems that are somehow related - perhaps other poems with an animal theme if you have any, or a wilderness theme, or whatever. Sometimes you can't group & link them nicely like that, but sometimes you can, and that can really help your traffic because it gives people another route to get to one of your poems.
Creative writing usually isn't a money maker. I have one story up and it gets some traffic, but not as much as my factual articles. I think most people use this as a forum to share their creative writing. Good luck!
If there's a theme to it, and it carries keywords that are relevant to what people are looking for (in search engines), then you should generate some traffic.
I would make sure the title and the poem are closely related (keyword wise). Also, if you are connected to some kind of social network, you can divert them to look at the place where you created the poem (that being a hub).
I think creative writing could be a money maker, but you would need original content that is tied to some strong keywords (and not so esoteric or vague that it gets lost in the shuffle).

I'm interested in poetic process. I personally believe the real writing comes in the editing stage and that all first drafts, without exception, are abysmal. As a result, I edit and rewrite a piece multiple times over days and sometimes weeks before I deem a poem acceptable for...

I have had a few poems receive non-featured status. I've been able to revive them by adding a couple of text paragraphs to expound on the topic of the poem while maintaining the integrity of the poem. It lengthens the hub, extending its survival, and therefore, making it more searchable. I've also...

I have never written poetry before I have published my very first poem and I am not sure that I have written poetry now. When it comes to poetry I am clueless as to what makes something a poem and what prevents it from being a poem. Can some one help me out before I make a complete twit of...

How does one edit poetry?I have found myself I a position where I need to write a poem. I used to write poetry when I was in highschool (the horrendously bad stuff, mind you), and was of the very stuff opinion that a poem must be written when the emotion grips you and must not be touched after....
