The Word Saviour, is not the same as Savior. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

"Faye's Daily Words Of Encouragement # 129 Today's Word Is: Saviour"Defin

Definition of the word Saviour: Means the one who saves. Jesus Christ. A godly deity.

Isaiah chapter 19 - 20 : And it shall be as a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of host in the land of Egypt; for thy shall cry unto the Lord because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a Saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.

Isaiah chapter 45 - 21 : Tell ye, and bring them near; let them take counsel together who hath declared from ancient times? have not I the Lord? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour, there is none beside me.

Isaiah chapter 49 - 26 : And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own  flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty one of Jacob.

2 Samuel chapter 22 - 3 : The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and salvation, my high tower, and refuge, my Saviour; thou savest me from violence.

1 Timothy chapter 4 - 1o : For therefore are both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of those that believe.

Titus chapter 2 - 13 : Looking for that glorious appearing of the great God and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Today's daily word of encouragement is Saviour.  Jesus Christ is our Saviour; because he died on the cross for our sins, he made himself a living sacrifice for all mankind.  Now, consider the word Saviour; if you look in your original King James version of the bible,  you will find one spelling of the word Saviour and that's with a u, it doesn't include the word savior with the r, like most people use it today. I Think over the years that Satan has found a way to change the spelling; to use it to his advantage to use the short spelling of Saviour instead of the correct way of using it.  My Saviour with a u has been changed to a Savior without the u, if you every just look at  it longer enough, you will  know that's not how the bible spell our Saviour. Listen, I'm  not trying to be nick-picky; but I am a stickler for details, when it comes to the word of God: so, changing the spelling of the word Saviour without the u: to just an r, is not option in my book.

I have read many, many wonderful, informative, enlightening and uplifting spirtual hubs on hubpages;  from fans all over the world and have run across the word Savior, more  times than I want to count: When I come to the word Savior as opposed to the word Saviour; it takes away from my reading, just  because, we're talking about talking about two different Saviours here, one with the correct spelling and one with the incorrect spelling.  To my knowledge, I have never taken the u out of my Saviour, simply because it doesn't feel right to me, and this Savior has never felt good, where ever I have seen it: in any spiritual readings, I feel it takes away from God, I'm not comfortable with it and I never use it.

I use the word Saviour exactly how the bible present to me, I use it as it is. Don't get me wrong, I'm  not judging anyone or putting anyone down for using Savior, I'm  just not comfortable with using it.  I just think the word Saviour should be use the same as the bible uses it. So, those of you that use the word Savior can use the correct spelling of the word Saviour. I'm sure the majority of you really doesn't realize it, when you're writing your hub.  This is only my opininon, but I think when we take a way the u, in the word Saviour, we're taking  from away Gods word.   Just remember; our  Lord andSaviour saved mankind, and gave him a chance at eternal life.  Our Saviour is Jesus Christ a godly deity that we worship and look too.  There's only one Lord and Saviour; That's Jesus Christ, son of God

Thank you Skye , for your visit but miost of all to pick upon, what I was trying to relay to the people that use the Savior without the u, I don't think many picked up on what I was trying to say about My Saviour.I read a book that said that Savior was changed for the wrong purpose, so everytime I see the word Savior, it makes me wonder which Saviour are people serving. The book I read, said the Savior without the u is not the same as this Saviour. So, I tried to put it out there so maybe people would get it, but unfortunately they still use this Savior in their hubs, which is really a turn off, because they're using the wrong Saviour. You know I did research on the word Saviour in the bible and I haven't found Savior in there, so I only use Saviour, regardless of what anyone esle use. It's important to me to use it correctly, because no one want their name use wrong. This comment from you means the world to me. I thank you so much. God bless you. creativeone59

creativeone59 - you're correct and the spelling issue is not nick picky. The word of the Lord is highly important to those that are saved and understand it's importance. You are vilgilent in watching for the enemy and its trickery. I bow to your vilgilence, blessings to you and all those in your household.

Thank thank you Sven, for your thoughtful help on the correct spelling of Saviour, because some times it seems I'm the only one using it that way. Also, I'm not employed because of a knee disability, so I have the needed time to get the word out,and I thank God for allowing me the time to do so. Thanks again for your comment and feedback. Godspeed. creativeone59

Hello, hello, 6 years ago from London, UK

Thank you for another very interesting hub.

Hi Benny Faye

No you are not nit-picking, Being a bible lecturer/teacher, I have seen the english translation for many parts of scripture miss out on the deeper understanding, another hub for another day. Going back to the spelling, the UK english (Correct) is Saviour, if I spelt it: Savior, it will show incorrect on my spell check. The north american english, I call lazy english as they leave out many letters in different words, almost spelt like it is said. Take the word "Honor"-> American. UK->"Honour" and we can go on all day.

If you changed your spell check to UK english, then the correct spelling for all words will be automatic.

Thank you for all your hubs, very uplifting and informative.

Just a Question, where do you get the time to write everyday? God bless you sister
