Despise is a form of hatred, so if we're going around despising ; we're hating and that not godly. We can despise what someone is doing or what someone is about, but we shouldn't despise the person but the actions of that person. We cannot get to God's Kingdom if our lives are built on despising and hatred. The bible talks about the fool that despises reproof and instruction, but if we're not able to take reproof and instructions , we also fall into the foolish category.
We cannot grow or prosper without reproof and instruction, so those of us , that get attitudes, hurt feelings and despise the persons or person trying to tell us the truth, need to hurry and get on their knees and pray about it... because you're letting Satan use you, and not God. We can despise the actions of others, but we shouldn't let despising make us sin by hating each other. We all have to remember that despising and hating is not of God.
