He always wins
Let us rejoice in our relationship with Him.
Who says God doesn't have a sense of humour?
Last night I prayed for the Lord to lead me to a site where I can listen to sermons online while having dinner. This morning while reading Our Daily Bread there was a short poem by Wesley at the end of the reading. I tried to get Google but it wasn’t working so I prayed for the Lord to show me another site. The name dogpile came to mind. I typed it into Yahoo and a search engine named dogpile came on and I found a site I could listen to Wesley sermons. Then, an online music station I enjoy listening to while feasting on morning Bible reading wouldn’t come up. Again I asked the Lord to have it connect. Immediately the station started to play. I laughed and thanked the Lord.
This was Gods reply: “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Luke 11:9 New International Version
I laughed and said “Okay Lord, I would like a wife, children, a home and a good job. Now I know You can’t do that because to do so will mean I cannot dedicate my life entirely to You. Ha ha Lord. I finally got You. If You give me what I ask I cannot be of service to You. But, You promised to give me everything I ask for so if You can not do this it means You cannot give me what I ask for.”
This was His reply: "When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. James 4:3 New International Version
Again I laughed.” You know Lord, Just once I would like to win in one of our little fun contests.”
I am sure my Beloved Jehovah, Jesus, The Holy Spirit and the angels in Heaven had a good laugh at my expense of ever thinking I could put one over on God.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Adoai (The Lord our Sovereign) for always winning in my life. It is because You win that I always win as well. Thank you for Your wonderful sense of humour. It is another of Your life giving gifts to us. I give thanks in the name of Him who showed His humour in so many of His sermons to us, Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
