Holy Spirit Filled Believers Following God For Real

A spirit filled church is summed up by these bible verses:

And these signs will follow those who believe:In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”Mark 16:17-18

In Order for us to walk in the power Jesus had/has we have to be filled with God's Holy Spirit- the bible even says for us to ask for more of the Holy Spirit (Luke 11:13)

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the vocation wherewith you are called,With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling;

One Lord, one faith, one baptism,One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.Ephesians 4:1-6

This is also part of Jesus great commission to us- for us to do- to even be bold enough and believe it-therefore acting in faith and doing it in Jesus name.This is part of leading people to Jesus which is the mission in whole- do what Jesus did in his name by the spirit of God.There is freedom in Jesus Christ and we must actively believe, trust,know, ask for, go after this freedom found in Christ.

Stirring up the gift God has giving us that is inside us.Through laying on of hands- touching in agreement while praying. By doing this we stir ourselves up causing the gift of God to flame up and burn bigger as in how fire reacts to wind blowing.(Feeding the fire) 2 Tim 1:6

God's word is also called a fire and when it comes out mixed with our faith-trust in God by God's people filled with His spirit it is like fire.Also the word of God comes out in faith from the depths of our belly & is called/compared to rivers of living water.It has power, it has overcoming power,calls God's angels into action/battle, it cleanses us, also causing faith to come (the ability to believe), his word is truth, his word is so powerful that it changes our minds- also renewing our mind, heals our heart, extends our life if lived by, God's word is life and bears fruits leading to life.

By praying in the Holy Spirit builds up our faith (Jude 1:20) also because it stirs up the spirit of God within us.Mark 16 is also talking of our authority in Jesus name. Being filled with His Spirit- Also this is the SAME SPIRIT that raised Jesus from the dead,

Speaking in tongues is also a type of evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit, the bible says that for us to fulfill our call, to not be stopped by satan. This will only be done by his spirit-not our strength at all. The Holy spirit comforts us, leads us, gives wisdom, brings stuff to our remembrance even God's word.

"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." John 3:5

Speaking of serpents the bible says that we have been given the power to tread upon them and scorpions- this is referring to things of satan and his attack/ambushes , betrayal, deceptions, traps,snares,lies & power- all because of the empowerment of God's very spirit-the Holy Spirit.

Being wise as serpents and innocent as Doves (Matt 10:16).

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:Neither give place to the devil.Ephesians 4:26-27

Without sin/ opening up doors through willfully known sins that could allow satan to come in. To take advantage of us,steal kill & destroy us, giving no opportunity to satan, keeping the whole armour of God on through obedience.Deeply convicted and repenting when we fall short- keeping short accounts with God. Giving no time for it to take root in our lives in Jesus name.

Therefore not grieving the spirit of God, Nor quenching it through not walking in love-the breastplate of faith and love (1 Thess 5). Guarding our hearts- never letting our love grow cold- 1Thess 5 connects this with our faith.Not forgetting too that faith which is trust in God walked out by obedience our our actions in accordance to His word (James 2:17).

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.Romans 8:5

Falling/walking/lusting away from God stems from walking according to the ways of this world.Following our lust and desires with no thought or care if it glorifies God or even if it will hurt ourselves. Letting the cares of the world choke out the word of God, His word/promise to take care of us.

Instead we are to let the spirit of God lead us. Since it is dwelling within us, we should no longer be able to be comfortable in the midst of sin. Our eyes have been opened, this causing us to be able to understand and because the very presence of God's spirit within us. We know,discern, we can differentiate God's Spirit from Satan's dark evil spirits.

Through this gift of the Holy Spirit we are able to test the spirits and it goes way beyond any feeling. It more of a since of knowing,God's spirit within and that you have a relationship with God. So you know where his spirit is leading you. The gift of the Holy Spirit reveals & exposes.

All we need to do is seek him, serve him, get our help, strength & deliverance from God.Without this hope, our help from God in Christ,being filled with God's spirit- We would all grow cold & bitter, beat down & discouraged by the wages of our sins that allowed satan to cause havoc in our lives.Yes,I will point out we are attacked heavily just because we follow Jesus too, let's just make sure that were not weakening our stance through wide open doors of sins.

It is by God's Spirit we will overcome, by the blood of the Lamb we overcome the whole entire world. We are to continually go to the throne of God/ throne of grace and get mercy in the time of need (Heb 4:16).

God has already brought to our attention.Moses threw down his snake and it ate the wizards snake.(Exodus 7:12). Also reminding us as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert- this representing the power of God that caused Moses to finish/ obey his call from God. Just as Moses lifted up the snake, we are to lift up the Son of Man JESUS (John 3:14).

This is the same thing now that Jesus has made available to us.In the power given to us in Jesus death & resurrection.The only name on earth that has been given for people to be saved by (Acts 4:12).

He came to save us yes, but also to make a way for us to be filled with the Holy Spirit- baptised by the Holy Spirit & Fire (Luke 3:16).Jesus told us if he did not leave than he could not send down the comforter-The Holy Spirit to us (John 16:7). The Spirit of Truth (Holy Spirit) that will lead us into all truth (John 16:13).

Satan has desired to sift us as wheat- completely destroy us- but Jesus has prayed that our faith fail us not. Faith takes action, choosing to believe- allowing God to be God and not stopping him because of our unbelief-we are told this in the bible.

This is the very thing that we christian's get called crazy for- because we believe God to do the things he has promised- and we let him reveal himself to us through Jesus Christ. We claim and it is TRUE that God talks to us, heals us, leads us.

He is with us- empowers us with his spirit.He provides for us, protects us, OUR GOD DOES THE IMPOSSIBLE because we trusted him, believed him! Therefore he could cut into our heart- the heart that used to be stony ground and would not receive the truth, the promises of God in Jesus.The cares of this world and satan come to steal the word from us and before we would forget it as if it weren't true. We had not because we ask not- perishing for the lack of knowledge which would lead to revelation because we ask, called,believed God to help us- No Matter How it Looked or even looks right now!

All of us that know God now- we have went through some stuff because of it- the minute you choose to get to know God more, stuff starts happening-bad stuff too. Distractions, people showing up out of no where. A lot of them you shouldn't even be around. Problems,bills,everyone trying to get your attention, they all need something and seemingly you're the only one who can fix it!

Anyway this is all to get us off focus and not to remember God's word, stop us from praying, trusting God, praising God during the storm and much more.We will never be able to overcome unless we have God's Holy Spirit stirred up and it also increases as we get closer and closer to God.

In John 17 Jesus actually wants to be in us-and us in him. This means having a life filled, empowered and led of the Holy Spirit- this death resurrecting, fire, in us- and when we open our mouths God's word comes out like fire burning up,destroying, making satan flee because we are filled with his Spirit- we have revelation of his word and that his sustaining power is true.GOD IS FAITHFUL!

So while we worship him in spirit and truth- His word is truth- Jesus the word of God- Jesus is the truth and we walk in his name declare the truth, doing what we have been sent to do-these signs do follow us>>
