Our One Nation Under God Indivisible

Our life stages are unique. Kathy enjoys sharing her thoughts and stages through her writing and looks forward to learning about yours.

We will not be shaken

Seriously, are we one nation under God, or are we busy kicking God to the curb? We neglect the moral code from which our country originates. Funny how the world works so hard to eliminate what is, was, and Will Be!

If one tries to erase an impact, it remains with the remembrance that marks the acts of violence and joy. Media is the amplified tool through which we grieve and celebrate. Admit it; we find it intriguing the sounds, sites, and smells that these events create in our world. God's impact is more significant, and He made that which we destroy.

Attempts to erase an ingrained connection do not take it away; perhaps therefore we love movies and superheroes. Movies take us to an unrealistic interpretation of reality, and superheroes have powerful abilities we wish to possess that would allow us to control our reality. All earthly stories and whimsical fantasies fail compared to the power of our God and His Omnipotence.

God could give great consequence. But, if it is His will to do so, and if we believe we are better than another, He humbles us, reminding us He is our focus. His Spirit plants our feet, guides our steps and allows us to knock down only to build us back up. He is the real transformer. Take God from this world, ridiculous, feeble-minded plot with no chance of winning!

You can't remove what is in the hearts of men, the ultimate good that lies in all people and circumstances. Denial does not make something right; instead, it is the act of conceding in an environment that clouds the Spirit of truth.

Ultimately, people are kind and loving, and the roots of man are dependable because God is good all the time, and always He is right.

Put two people on a deserted island, and their differences will dissipate. They will battle, debate, and even separate, then slowly seek the solace of that which brings them together. The Holy Spirit is that power that bonds in all circumstances. You can try to deny it, but when it fills you, there is nothing but surrender. Everything else falls away, and we will not shake you.

Many think, "How I wish I could take regular visits to the place where God would meet me?" God is everywhere without limitation. He will meet you where you are, exactly as you are. The desert is wherever you seek Him, and the living water of His word is how He feeds you. All you need to do is open yourself up to this gift and stop letting this world shut you down!

Be Strong For I am With You ~

Are we really one nation under God?

Let’s get back to caring for our neighbors by spreading unconditional love. Help us remember we are all sinners in an imperfect shell casing, and our bullets are only damaging if not spirit-filled. Help us seek the good in all things and deflect that which is a distraction from loving with a pure heart.

A pure heart does not harm or humiliate. Are we ministering to a wound and applying tender love and care? Aren’t we to reach out as Jesus did, to be present if someone is in need? Aren’t we to love and treat others without malice or ill will? Do we ever know the heart of another? Is it for us to understand their nature or to like them?

Applying the wound care and back away so God can do His perfect handiwork is okay. We may not always understand the work God has done us do. Often we may not feel right about the outcome, but we do it anyway, or at least try to try again, because this time here on earth is not for our glory but His, and while we do not understand, we will trust in His allowances.

Why do we want so much to have a life of trusting in God and serving Him, and yet we deny Him? Sometimes our denial is all too often to the point of being regular. Do we feel frustrated when we fall short of the expectations to live in the teachings of His word? Will we forgive ourselves our shortcomings and resume our attempts at being Christ-like? Will we overlook as we forgive?

We can love like that if trusting and seek Him alone. We are His, living with the conviction that much work continues. Messing up is inevitable. Even those worshiping or praising still have difficulty holding onto these teachings when in the “real world!”

We must know that we are vulnerable to attack when learning, working and serving God. There is no greater desire of Satan than to pull us away. It’s our job as a unified body to accept that he will pick, but we can encourage one another to lead back to His plan for us in any given predicament? Will we agree that people don’t want to harm us but instead help? They also need to know they can rely on that help when in a weakened state.

Isaiah 54:15-17 NIV
If anyone attacks you, it will not be my doing; whoever attacks you will surrender to you. “See, I created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to wreak havoc; no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”

None of us is perfect. Our flaws are clear, yet purposeful. Through disillusionment, we become confused. Disjointed understanding of the whys of sin escapes us; however, seeking a Christ-like view brings clarity.

We must come to an agreement that understanding is not just a word, but an action. Thus, seeing weakness in others is better used as the reflector of our sins and the simple mirroring of God's grace given to us, the undeserving.

If God allows an experience, He will teach us through it, but human nature applies experiential interpretation instead of correct understanding. Therefore, encourage one another to see the mercy provided. Imperfect though we are, we must love with a spirit-filled perfection.

True lovers know that brokenness seeks to heal, and our hearts should burst with a willingness to do His works.

Unfortunately, sins imprison within this lack of luster snow globe, acting as one nation under God. But we are indivisible if we focus on being the body of Christ. We have been here in this façade for a short time. But, one day, the globe will crack, and we will be perfect in Him.

If you have slipped, it's okay; God is reaching down to scoop you back up. You can fail a thousand times, and He will forgive you. So try again; what do you have to lose? Ask Him in again. Ask Him to forgive you and believe in the unity of our one nation under God indivisible.
