In The Boat

Matthew 8:24-26

24Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!"

26He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

Have you ever thought about the disciples being in the boat and Jesus fell alseep and they panicked and woke him up because of a bad wind and storms and rain were heading their way.

We go through this to in our daily walk with Christ. During times of joy and prosperity we are in awe of God and what he has done, but once that storm come we wake Jesus up from his nap, not strusting in what he can do we as humans need proof. We panick at the first site of trouble and Jesus always wakes up to calm the storm in the Lord we can take refuge and know he is protecting us no matter what.

Next time we are in that boat let's just trust Jesus for He will wake up and stop that storm.
