Is Evolution proven?
Evolution, Stonehenge and The Pyramds
As someone who is very interested in Science (especially physics) I took a general science course with a well known University.
I really enjoyed the course, and learned a bit about quantum physics, how planets are formed, the age of the earth, and geology - it was a general introduction to chemistry, biology and physics.
I was really enjoying the course, until I came to a bit which seemed to explain how life could have begun without any need for "God". Although I never thought deeply about religion, I have been brought up as a Christian and I went to church regularly, so the thought that life could have arisen by accident upset me a bit.
I didn't really think much more about it until a friend, who I regard as an intelligent man, mentioned "Creation Science" during conversation. I questioned him a bit about it, and said that I had thought evloution was "proven beyond doubt". He said that not everybody thought so.
We left it at that - he certainly didn't try to "convert" me or anything like that, but I began to wonder what he meant. I asked another well respected friend (a teacher of languages by profession) who I knew was religious, if she knew anything about it. She seemed to freeze for a second, and asked me what I wanted to know. It turned out that she, too, believed in Creation Science. I began to wonder more and more about it, and this lady lent me a book and some tapes.
So why don't "real" scientists take this seriously?
It turns out that many serious scientists, with degrees, don't believe that evolution is proven at all, and my quest for more information has led me down many interesting avenues.
There seem to be so many areas where different religions of the world agree with each other - a great flood, for example. Many people point out texts from the Bible, and also ancient drawings which could indicate what we might refer to today as "UFO's". There is evidence for ancient, highly developed civilizations (evidence of a nuclear blast in India, which occurred around 8,000 years ago for example).
Stonehenge in England - still regarded by many as a mystery
Search for scientific documentaries about creation science or the paranormal...you might be surprised!
If this all sounds far fetched, remember I am someone who is interested in "real" science, and I am writing about things which I have read and watched (Google Video is a great place to start). Many of these works have been produced by scientists.
My research has found links between dozens of world religions, ancient sites, UFO's, the "paranormal" ...the list is almost endless.
If you think there are no such things as UFO's, evolution is proven, the Pyramids are difinitely nothing more than burial chambers etc. I would urge you to just do a little research for yourself. I started several years ago, and I have realised that things are far from as "clear cut" as I thought.
I hope this will set you off on a journey of discovery for yourself. Do question everything you may see or hear, but with an open mind.
Good luck if you decide to take the first step - please use the comments box so I and others can follow your progress!
