Is it impossible for God to save the world even after he sent his son to be killed?

Updated on July 7, 2011

Is it impossible for God to save the world even after he sent his son to be killed?

“For God so love the world that he sent his only begotten son…” (John 3: 16). It seems nothing is impossible and we know that people reason differently. Therefore people have various things to say in virtually everything including religious doctrines and concepts. Is there anything impossible for God to do? Is it impossible for God to save mankind, if he truly wants to do it? Some people said he gave us freewill so he will not force anything on us but let us decide which way to follow. That is fine and okay but why then was it claimed that he sent his son to save humanity? Can we say that he succeed in task of saving the world through his son?

Certainly we know that there are division everywhere even among Christians so we do not have to pretend that all is well because we know that some sects think they are better Christians than others. Someone said in my hub that God killed his son only to raise him up again so it is nonsense. I thought about his comment because although there are many questions already on ground on such matter but his comment seems to suggest that some people do not really understand the whole story so they come up with various questions by their reasoning. The truth is that we are expected to accept religious theories without questions because if we ask questions then it means doubt and it is wrong to question or doubt the word of God.

It is obvious from the bible records that God was aware of the fate of Jesus. Therefore, he sent him to the world to be killed and we can learn from him. It seems the aim has not been realized because although the gospel of Jesus is spreading and at same time dividing it own people yet we ask if there will be a time that all of us will belief in the gospel in one accord and be saved as God wants. If God loved the world so much that he desired to save it even at the cost of his son’s life then why will it be an impossible task looking at the ways of things? Many people have not believed and many people are still not certain of what to belief. Therefore some people now think that the whole theory makes does not make sense.

It is difficult to stop people from thinking, reasoning, and asking questions because it is our right as humans. Over years we have said that the Jews killed Jesus but from what the guy said, it seems that people now think that God is also guilty of the crime because he sent him to be killed. Under the earthly law we know that they are right but the main concern and question should be, is there anything impossible for God to do? Is it impossible for God to save the world without sending his son if he wanted? Is it impossible for God to make all of us to follow a single religious path if he so desired?

It was said that Paul was converted on his way to Damascus, if it is true then it means that it is not impossible for God to convert anyone he chooses. That is the more reason we should understand that we could only teach, preach, among others but only some people will be converted like Paul.

Then does it mean that God so much loved the world that he sent his only son to be killed so that the world will be saved yet the world is not saved?
