Life is a game, Play it!
This is a quote from Sathya Saibaba! He said, "Life is a game, Play it, Life is a challenge, meet it, Life is Love, share it, Life is a dream, Realize it". Within this four lines, Saibaba encompassed the philosophy of Life. Now let us examine each one in the context of our life.
Life is a game, Play it. We have watched many games in real time as well as in live broadcasts.A game should have certain rules and regulations that govern it. For instance, in a football match, there are goal posts which will be guarded by a goal keeper. He will try to prevent any ball coming inside the goal post by many maneours. Each team will comprise many players who are assigned different positions in the field. There will be a referee for the Match. There are boundaries all around.
The ball is pushed around by both the teams with the intention of putting the ball in the opposite goal post. The goal keeper will however prevent the entry of the ball. If the ball goes beyond the boundaries, then the other side gets the chance to kick the ball. There will be penalty corners by which one team will get the chance to hit the ball within a close range directly. Mostly penalty corners will be converted to goals.
Our life too is just like a football game. Both the good qualities and evil qualities play the game of life. The individual is the ball. He is being kicked around. As long as there is ego in the individual, he is puffed up like the ball. If the ego is inflated, like the air in the ball is let out, it won't get pushed up since it will lie flat. Hence it is the Ego of the individual which pushes him all round the field(life) with several players pushing this way and that way. Hence, the best way is to deflat the Ego in order to become free from the kicks of the qualities. If you want to win the game of life, put the goal on the side of evil players, i.e, render them defeat. Om Sri Sai Ram.
