Meet My Granddaughter

Trinity Nicole
Trinity Nicole

I'd like you to meet my granddaughter, Trinity Nicole. She's all of 4 months old and living in safety in her mother's womb to be presented to the world at the appropriate time - somewhere around January 15, 2013.

You may notice that she has a little nose. In some of the other pictures my daughter has you can see her toes. She moves all around - never still for long. She's alive I call her she because that's already been decided, too. She is not an it. She is a she. She is not a frog or a turtle, and definitely not a monkey or a lizard. She is living - and she is human.

It breaks my heart when I think of all the little ones that are sacrificed to the god of pleasure each day or are butchered for profit. 115,000 precious lives are taken on a daily basis. The death toll of the unborn matches 9/11 x 30. It matches the death toll of Hurricane Katrina x 62. We were so upset over the loss of those lives, but yet we allow these little ones that have not yet developed a voice to be brutally murdered..America will surely answer for this.

Since the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973 millions of small humans have been butchered. It was shortly after that decision that Jimmy Seals wrote the song, Unborn Child. This is quite possibly the first pro-life song ever written. His words are as follows:

Oh little baby, you'll never cry, nor will you hear a sweet lullabye.

Oh unborn child, if you only knew just what your momma was plannin' to do.
You're still a-clingin' to the tree of life, but soon you'll be cut off before you get ripe.
Oh unborn child, beginning to grow inside your momma, but you'll never know.
Oh tiny bud, that grows in the womb, only to be crushed before you can bloom. . .

. . .Oh no momma, just let it be. You'll never regret it, just wait and see.
Think of all the great ones who gave everything
That we might have life here, so please bear the pain.

Mama stop! Turn around, go back, think it over.
Now stop, turn around, go back, think it over.
Stop, turn around, go back think it over.

The pain of abortion lives on in the mother. Overwhelmed with guilt many resort to suicide. Depression is a natural result and many turn to disfiguring their own bodies through the addictive process known as cutting. It simply isn't worth it.

You say you've been there, done that. It's too late.It may be as far as the life of the child, but what about you? There are many people available to help - and I don't mean Planned Parenthood. Check local churches. Most cities have a pro-life clinic and offer counseling. Turn to sympathetic friends. Know that there's forgiveness, if from no one else, from God. He has planned a wonderful life for you and is just waiting for you to come to Him, but it's your move.

You see, His blood was shed too - for you. His sinless life in your place has bought you freedom. You really can find help, love, and forgiveness. He's just a prayer away.

We are forced to finance this murder lifegate, our tax dollars pay for this and we need to put a foot down and say no way. If murderers want to be murderers then let them foot the bill! Yes many insurance companies pay for abortion but these woman for the most part that are using abortion for birth control have no insurance and we foot that bill, supporting what we are so against!

Thank you for the darling pictures and may some would be murderers set their eyes on them.

Up and sharing!

Congratulations on that new little life! What a miracle it is to see that little tiny body so precious to God - a special gift from Him. I can only imagine the sorrow and horror He feels when people take His precious little gifts and toss them in the garbage.

Hope all goes well through the pregnancy. We'll be waiting to see that newborn picture!

Jackie,

You're so right. I don't see the need to use our tax dollars at all! When I look at the way the government is heading, my little Trinity Nicole hardly stands a chance, but God knows all about it, Thanks for the input. . . Always good of you to stop by.

Kristeen,

Thank you. It surely is a miracle. Scripture says that children are a heritage of the Lord - truly a gift. I'm sure He sorrows over the loss of His gifts. Too bad more parents don't. I'll be sure to post birth pictures. You know how us proud grandpas are!

Congratulations on your sweet grandbaby! Abortion is a sad deception that destroys women from the inside. Praise God He can heal it! Life is too fleeting and precious to cut it short before it has begun! God bless!

prektjr.dc,

Absolutely! I believe God is the only One that can heal the pain we so often bring on ourselves. And yes, life is far too short. Thanks for stopping by!!

Beautiful hub, lifegate, and informative. Your ending is right on target; there's no harm (in fact, it is best) in admitting to oneself -- "hey, I messed up so bad, but if God can forgive me (He will forgive), I can forgive myself and do the right thing for this baby." Even if one is an atheist or agnostic (which I find hard to imagine with new life), people can acknowledge a mistake which hurts others and brings on often horrendous problems (as illegitimate babies are often perceived) is the first step to forgiveness to self and everyone else--including the baby! It takes courage and love, but many have made it. Great hub; I'm glad you reminded us of the song!

Congratulations!!

How wonderful that we can see these little ones so early in the pregnancy which I do think helps for those considering abortion to possibly reconsider. A babies humanness cannot be denied when seen as such.

I have never quite understood the justifications and arguments used to keep these practices legal. They certainly aren't logical ones. I'm not sure how it differs from the ancient practice of child sacrifice as you well noted.

I love Gianna Jessons (abortion survivor) quote. "If abortion were about women's rights where were mine" Check her out on youtube. Her speeches are powerfully unarguable.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you..." ~ Jeremiah 1:5

Teylina ,

Thanks for stopping by. As a pastor I deal with people much of the time that can forgive everyone else but themselves. But that's where true healing begins. Thanks for the input and for taking time to read this hub!

Thanks for the visit TJ. There certainly isn't anything logical about abortion, but I hurt for the mother almost as much as I do for the child. I'll check out that video. Thanks for pointing me to it!

Thanks for sharing lifegate, and may God bless that new little baby. It is sad to see so many little lives snuffed out before their time because it is "inconvenient" for someone.

They talk so much about a woman's right to choose. However, none of the people who talk about it think about the many girls aborted each year. These girls never had a chance to choose, or they certainly wouldn't have chosen death.

My prayer is that more women will see how precious a gift it is that has been given to them and choose life. We need to stop this great evil in our land.

GodTalk,

It certainly is an evil that is destroying our land. God has no choice but to judge if we don't repent. I'm praying that America will do just that- repent. We live in "Godless" times and it's high time we return. Thanks for stopping by and adding to the conversation.

And thank you MsDora for summing it all up. All children regardless of age deserve dignity, respect and love. What's wrong with the adults?

Hi Lifegate... congratulations of the growing life you are a part of... what a shame when we think of the many who are aborted each year due to inconvenience a child would bring. Not what God wants at all. Every life belongs to Him...

Hugs from Canada

Rolly,

Well said. Shame is written all over America, as well as judgment. Still there's forgiveness for those who seek Him. Thanks for stopping by. You're always welcome here!

The topic of abortion is one very close to my heart. When I found out I was pregnant with my son, my doctor suggested I have an abortion because of all the medications I was taking. I went home and told my husband. He too wanted me to have an abortion. I didn't and my husband left me.

Today, my son is 28 years old. Healthy, smart, educated and I am very proud of him. If I had gone through what people wanted me to do, I would have regretted it for the rest of my life.

I've tried to stop young girls from killing their babies in the past and have been attacked by other women who've had abortions. Their excuses are lame. They claim they regretted having to make the decision but not having the abortion (??). I don't understand that. As you said, America will have to answer to that, but not just America but each individual.

Congratulations on that wonderful and beautifully made grandbaby!

FD,

I'm glad you saw it through to the end - and I'm sure your son is, too. Children are a blessing no matter what the cost or "inconvenience". Each has something to give and to contribute to life. Thank you for your contribution!
