The Lord Is All We Need

He Is Our Shelter

PSALM 121:5-8 NKJ

The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.
The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore

Isn't our Lord just amazing?

He preserves us, going out and coming in, I take that as protection and it makes my heart sing.

He is our shade, He will keep us safe and cool, He will not let us get burned. I take that as He will always provide away out.

The times of trials in my life has showed me that even when we feel that we have fallen off that mountain, is the times when He caught us and lifted us up.

PSALM 138:6-7 NKJ

Though the Lord is on high, Yet He regards the lowly; But the proud He knows from afar.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me.

In the verse above even  though we are going through trials or even in the midst of trouble it amazes me that through these storms our Lord will revive us, He will stretch out His amazing hand and rescue us. Life has been hard, but these passages can lift us up, we can read these and know that our God never forsakes His children.

As I read your hub, I am reminded of how the Lord led the Israelites through the great and terrible wilderness. When it was dark, He provided a pillar of fire to light their way. And when they traveled by day, He supplied then with a pillar of cloud - a blessed shade from the harsh UV rays of an unforgiving sun. As you mentioned in your hub, "life has been hard," but thank God He is there with us every step of the way.

The Lord bless you and keep you safe Betty. Keep on hubbing.

Psalms 91 is my favorite psalm because it talks about this too. The Lord is my shield and will protect me against anything bad.
