The Orlando Tragedy, Part 3: Islam's Incompatability with the West

Islam and America: bridging the gap

The final aspect of the atrocity in Orlando is Islam’s incompatibility with the West. For Muslims who follow Islam’s teachings to the extreme, as the shooter did, it is impossible for them to live in a culture that values women, homosexuals, and freedom.

While Democrats rely on their ‘divide and conquer’ strategy via gun control proposals (that have already failed in the Senate) and race baiting, they neglect the fact that Islam collides with Western values for the most part. Hillary Clinton calls Muslims a peace-loving people who yearn for freedom, but the facts show otherwise.

Ian Bremmer, political scientist, writer, and president of the Eurasia Group recently tweeted out that “Muslims must not be stereotyped. BUT Islam desperately needs reform.” The image he tweeted along showed the following statistics, according to Pew Research:

  1. 1.62 billion Muslims worldwide
  2. 1.29 billion (80%) Muslims worldwide believe a wife should obey her husband
  3. 1.1 billion (68%) Muslims worldwide believe Sharia law should rule
  4. 748 million (46%) Muslims worldwide believe adultery should be punishable by death
  5. 584 million (36%) Muslims worldwide believe you should be killed for leaving Islam.

These numbers reveal the true nature of Islam, “the religion of peace.” This is a distinct religion that is very strict in adhering to a certain way of life that is in direct conflict with Western norms. Crazy people around the world use this ideology to justify their inexplicable actions. One would think American Muslims are more moderate overall, but the self-hating killer was no moderate, and a majority are not.

Bremmer also pointed out in a more recent tweet that most Muslims who come to America do want to adopt American customs and ways of life. However, according to the Pew Research poll done in 2011, at least 20% of Muslims in America want to be distinct from the larger American society, creating their own separate subculture.

Most Muslims assimilate, but not all. At least 20% of Muslims coming to America have no plans to slide into the American way of life.

America Islamized

While liberals and those who don’t know any better claim that diversity is our greatest strength, they miss the obvious reality that a clashing of cultures creates conflict, like we saw in Orlando. This disruption of society is borne out in how Muslims view American law. 51% of American Muslims believe they should “have the choice of being governed according to Sharia.” Furthermore, nearly one-fifth of Muslims said that the use of violence in the U.S. is justified in order to make Sharia the law of the land in this country, according to a poll commissioned by the Center for Security Policy.

It is important to note that Republicans are not the ones creating this culture of hate, it is the religion and culture of Allah that is bringing this kind of barbarism to our shores.

Just look to the Muslim countries and how they view homosexuality. According to Pew Research, 90% of Pakistani Muslims see homosexuality as “morally wrong.” Similarly, in our ally Turkey’s country, 85% of its Muslims look down on gays. While in Egypt, 94% of Muslims see homosexuals as sinners. These numbers must be remembered the next time Mrs. Clinton comes on television to give a speech denouncing Donald Trump’s proposals to ban immigrants from certain countries in the Middle East and North Africa.

Diversity is not always a good thing. Forget the literal text of Sharia law? As a refresher, here are a handful of lovely rules that would be enforced under a brutal Islamic regime:

  • Theft is punishable by amputation of the right hand.
  • Criticizing or denying any part of the Quran is punishable by death.
  • Criticizing or denying Muhammad as a prophet is punishable by death.
  • A Muslim who becomes a non-Muslim is punishable by death.
  • A woman can have 1 husband, but a man can have up to 4 wives.
  • Testimonies of FOUR male witnesses are required to prove rape against a woman.
  • A woman cannot drive a car, as it leads to “fitnah,” or upheaval.

It is obvious here how little Muslims who follow Sharia law value women. They seem to barely view them as individuals, nowhere near the status of a man. Men seem to use Sharia law as a way to keep women subservient to men. This is a portion of Islam that is far from peace-loving and, as I now hope you’ll now realize, is no silent minority. Hopefully the more moderate Muslims will win the day and fight for full realization of women’s and gay rights throughout Islamic countries.

Europe deals with rapid Islamization, America grapples with border crisis

Slovokian Prime Minister Robert Fico, who is due to take over presidency of the European Union soon, said Islam has no place in his country. In May, he told reporters that "migrants change the character of our country," and declared he wouldn't allow such change to affect his nation. Europe has been grappling with the refugee spillover coming out of Syria. The migrant crisis has reached its shores and the Muslims adhering to Sharia law have entered their lands. The ‘Brexit’ vote is the latest sign that Europe and the European Union are bursting at the seams, barely keeping their identity intact among the influx of refugees.

Fico points to America as the instigator of the chaos now pouring out of North Africa and the Middle East. "I only have one question: Who bombed Libya?" Fico said in August, referring to the 2011 NATO-led intervention against Libyan dictator Moammar Gaddafi. "Who created problems in North Africa? Slovakia? No." A spokesman from Slovakia's Interior Ministry suggested last year that, if the country would take in Syrian refugees, they would have to be Christian.

Fico, like Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, has proposed immigration rules based on religion. This is certainly unenforceable, but looking at where someone comes from with whom they associate, is definitely worth taking a look at. If someone is coming from Syria or Libya or Somalia or Iraq, we unfortunately need to take a deeper look at who they are.

If you think we don’t need to secure our borders, think about having people who view women as half a person, pouring across the Rio Grande. In our inclusive culture, how is it that increasing our “diversity,” letting Muslims in who could desire Sharia law, is the best way to go about making our country better? How can these individuals from war-torn countries contribute to our society when they do not even acknowledge homosexuals’ way of life? Extremist groups are marshalling on the borders, ready to take advantage of an open borders immigration system installed by our embedded political class. Our border patrol forces are more than outmatched.

"We have no way ... to know who these people are ... we don't have databases on these individuals so we can't properly vet them, to know where they came from, to know what threat they pose," said Michael McCaul, Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security. This statement was made following the Obama administration’s plan to resettle Syrian refugees in the U.S., despite the dangers posed by members of groups like ISIS, who have already expressed intent to embed fighters in the refugee community in order to gain access into the country. According to Judicial Watch, ISIS is operating training camps just a few miles from El Paso, Texas. Mexican law enforcement and intelligence sources were cited.

As early as April 14th last year, "coyotes" engaged in human smuggling, working for Juárez Cartel, helped move ISIS terrorists through the desert and across the border. Terrorist training camps are reported just beyond the US Mexico border. Instead of focusing on actual threats like this, the authorities, directed by the Obama administration, are working to change the culture of our country, one transformative president, one undocumented worker at a time.

Political correctness killing us?

In June of last year, Walmart apologized after the bakery at one of their stores in Louisiana, refused a man’s request for a Confederate flag cake. Chuck Netzhammer said he ordered the image of the Confederate flag on a cake with the words, "Heritage Not Hate," but the bakery said no. Later on, he would go to the same bakery to have his ISIS cake made. "That's an ISIS battle flag cake that anybody can go buy at Walmart. But you can't buy a Confederate flag toy, with like, say, a 'Dukes of Hazzard's' car."

The recent outrage over the Confederate flag is only one example of our overly offended culture today. Political correctness continues to be the number one priority for the media elite and liberals across the country. It is also one of the main reasons Donald Trump has gotten to where he is today. It has gone so far on college campuses, that “safe spaces” have been set up so students can be protected from the harsh words coming out of mouths like Mr. Trump’s.

When I went to Church for the first time in a while on Sunday, the priest stated confidently, without a doubt, that the killer in Orlando was a man who hated gay people, then committed a hate crime against them and all of their friends. On a comment on part one of this series, one reader advised I do more research, as this was clearly a hate crime and in no way whatsoever a terrorist attack. Though it was certainly a crime driven by hate of the gay community, that is only the beginning of the story.

The shooter’s twisted commitment to Islamic ideology, combined with the radical, anti-American beliefs of his father, drove him to the madness he could no longer contain. His faith in Allah and allegiance to radical jihadism contributed just as much to the ghastly events of two Sundays ago as his hatred of gays and their way of life. His blatant allegiance to ISIS and radical Islamic ideology, along with a failure to mention anything about gays or homosexuality during the 911 call made after 2:30 AM on June 12th, proves that the killer was doing this more so for his religious beliefs than his confused inner demons drawing him toward men.

We cannot let political correctness blind us to the realities of today’s complexities. Islam is a great religion, sure, but it also attracts radicals at a much higher rate than any other religion, and these jihadists will do anything they can to kill as many infidels as possible. More than one thing can convince someone to do something unspeakable and trying to make sense of something a deranged person did is near impossible. Banning Muslims is not the answer, but taking a second look at what many of them believe in and what they stand for, is more than worth looking into.

Islam is not the religion of peace and it is not the sole reason the shooter took so many innocent lives from us. Many followers of Muhammad across the world do not believe in the same values that we as Americans do. Authorities need to block out the distractions deriving from political correctness and the media need to stop blocking out the link between radical jihadism and the Orlando attack.

Otherwise, Orlando will happen again.
