CHANGING OF THE GUARD

I have come to visit you

I remain quiet and go unnoticed

You hurry to clean and get things done

I tease you with temptation and desire

I dance upon your lips

When you attempt to scratch that itch you can not reach

I am there

I am here to remind you life is filled with the unknown

As your eyes flutter from a fascination from within

You feel a moment of comfort and safety

I see you have worked so hard to make things nice

I have never stopped

Trying to reel you in

 When you think the end of the line is near,

I gently pull and tug

And take you further than you can ever imagine to many distant shores

As you watch the coastline

You see the rocky edge

See the crashing of the waves

Tips of foam

That crash and break

With all their might they proclaim

All the greatness they can see

Soon so slowly they completely cover

The sands of the beaches so innocent and left open

Not to disappear and evaporate

But mix and blend

From end to end 

At last you can see

You have been truely tantalized

Tickled on every part

Every ounce of light that is sparkling and bright

Radiates your true color

Friends enjoy with amazement

Of all the peaceful tranquillity

Of all the natural wonders that take place

So as you continue on with your day

Feel the rush

As you suddenly blush

Just let it happen

Enjoy it for the moment

Your innocence has been lost

The special wonderful gift has been given
