FENG SHUI

Learning Feng Shui requires intensive training and studying. It is also similar as taking a course in college with a syllabus. This is an initial guide in learning the Basic Principles of Feng Shui, so you can decide if you are interested in making it as a career someday as a "consultant" or an "expert"

HOW TO START?

The best way to practice your own personal Feng Shui is to start learning or determining the four corners or parts of your own residence, office, house or where you are currently residing. This are the four corners that can bring you luck.

The place where you sit, sleep or rest, and work in any part of your home or office can surely bring you good luck and protection against bad luck or incidence. The formula use to determine your lucky places according to the corners of your house or office is called "Compass School Feng Shui."

YOUR "KUA NUMBER"

In order to know your lucky location or direction, you should know your KUA number first. If you are born between 1st of January and 20th of February, you need to check the day when the lunar New Year happened in the year of your birth.

If you're born before New Year, you need to subtract 1 in the year of your birthday before getting the calculation of your Kua Number, example, if you are born on the 7th of February of 1964, your birthday year will become 1963. This is because the lunar New Year happened on the 13th of February. (1964-1= 1963)

If you already get the right Lunar Year of your date of birth, then you can start calculating your KUA Number using this simple formula -> Get the last 2 digits of your year of birth, then add this 2 digits, keep on adding till the answer becomes a single number. Example, if the year of your birth is 1968, add 6+8 = 14, then add again 1+4 = 5 (the result is a single digit).

  • If you are a Man, you need to deduct the single last digit from 10, like 10-5=5. Therefore 5 is your KUA number.
  • If you are a Woman then you need to add 5 to your single last digit, like 5+5=10, then you need to still make it into a single number -> 1+0=1, then your KUA number is 1.

FINDING THE PLACE THAT BRINGS YOU GOOD FORTUNE

The Compass School Feng Shui is based on your personal date of birth and gender. The compass points to the place where you can find your luck location. If you already find out your lucky sitting and sleeping direction, then you also need to know your personal best direction.

View the table below and memorize the direction that is lucky for you. Try doing it. If you're Pa Kua doesn't have a compass then you can just use a good compass. Sit in front of your lucky direction, if you are not physically possible, then try another direction. This might not be your best, but at least this is better than sitting on the location that will bring misfortune on your life.

The formula describes the different kinds of good luck and unpleasant fortunes of the 8 directions of the compass or Pa Kua.

  • The "Five Ghosts" is about the 5 kinds of bad luck in the form of different trials or tests.
  • The "Six Killings" signifies the strongest bad luck in the form of sickness, accidents, or treason.

The direction in the table below is based on the individual KUA number listed. For those who have KUA number 5, the direction on the left side is for a MAN while the direction at the right is for WOMAN.

You should take care of the 2 tables illustrated in this page . You can photocopy them and you can bring the table anywhere. If the table is with you, and someone will consult or ask about their Feng Shui, then you can easily answer any of their inquiries. It is also good if you can memorize the formula of getting the KUA numbers. I hope this article can help in the development of your skills to learn Feng Shui and to share the knowledge of giving luck to the people that you will meet in life.
