Which Baptisim have You Recieved

Be Bapitized into Christ for Life

Source

Do you need baptism to be a Christian?

In Johns day when you wanted to be a member of an organization baptism was a way of publicly showing your commitment to that organization.

When John baptized it was a public show of repentance.

And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. Mark 1:3 New International Version

The third baptism is the most important. When you accept Jesus as your Savior, you are baptized by the Holy Spirit. This is spiritual and does not require a physical emersion of water but rather a Spiritual commitment to Jesus.

I baptize you withwater, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.” Mark 1:8 New International Version

So even though you may have been baptized as a child it does not mean you are saved. You must make that a personal commitment to Jesus, not your church but to Jesus.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Yehew (God of His people) for the divine privilege of being a member of Your Holy family. Thank you Holy Spirit for Your baptism of coming to live with in me. I give thanks for this treasured gift through Him who made it all possible, Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

Until one comes face to face with the truth of who they are in Christ, and follows through with baptism they are missing the completion of a believer's faith. Good hub post.
