What is a story? A story is a representation of an event that is being described either it is true or fictional. This is done in a certain way that the person who is listening experiences or learn something from it. This narration is a means of transferring information, experience, attitude or point of view. In every story there is a person who is telling the story and there is someone who is listening. Just like in a story, we have to go through a journey rather it is good or bad. Some of our journey can be about relationships, life, career, and even our faith. In life that certain events will happen that we don’t have any control of. Just because things aren’t going great right now that doesn’t mean that our life is over. Did you know that God can help your story to be rewritten. In your favorite movie that the plot will go one way then later in the plot will change. God can do the same for your life. He wants to change the plot in your life. In the book of Ecclesiastes the 3rd Chapter and the 1stVerse said “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”

You may be in a relationship with someone that is very toxic. They have a negative mindset and always treating you like a piece of trash. That person will try their best to control you. They will convince you that you are not worthy. You keep on making excuses for them because you are afraid of being lonely so you will just settle. God doesn’t want you to settle for anything because He wants the best for you. God will rewrite your story with the toxic relationship that you are in right now by removing them from your life. Your story is being changed by God finding you a better person to be in a relationship with. God wants to do a new thing by changing your episode in that relationship but you have to get out of the way and let him work his power. That person came into your life for a season. You had learned from that person you deserve much better. There is a reason why people will come into your life. Some will come for a season or a lifetime. Some will come for a reason to provide guidance and support to help you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They are sent to you by the Holy Spirit. Later on without being your fault, or suddenly unexpected, this person in your life may or do something to cause the relationship to crumble. At that moment you must realize they are only in your life for that season and you must let God change your story. You do that by moving forward because God is trying to tell you that your story is not over but being rewritten. You are challenged to live in hope, to keep on doing that which is good and trust in God for the results. To live in hope will make this life better are you are preparing for the next season. In the book of Ecclesiastes the 9th Chapter and the 11th Verse said “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all.”

Your story can be rewritten by God in your professional life. You may be at a job that you are not happy at. You may be dealing with unemployment right now. You may be dealing with failure in your life. Regardless of your situations that you are facing in your professional life that it is just temporary. God wants to rewrite your situation by opening new doors of opportunity. In life we are going to deal with doors closing in our face. Just because that door is close God will open up a new door. For you to receive that new opportunity, you must turn the knob and walk through that new door. In the book of Matthew the 7th Chapter and the 7thVerse said “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” In our lifetime that we are always making plans and feel very secure. We may feel right now that we are in control. That feeling won’t last because things change in life. That is part of life. When you feel that your life is no longer in control, you just want to throw in the towel. Don’t give up because your life is not over. God is opening that new door but you must be willing to obey his call. You will miss out on opportunities of new door that is opening in your life because of delaying to act. Usually people who are stubborn will not see many doors opening because they don’t have the faith to follow the steps of God. You are showing that you don’t have enough faith in God. God is telling you that “I Got This.” You must believe that God will always have your back. He is already working out your new version by gearing you to start your own business. He may want to send you on a new career path by getting you out of that comfort zone. God wants to write your new parable with your name on it but you must be willing to allow Him to do that for you. God will guide your footsteps. In Jeremiah the 29th Chapter and the 11thverse tell us “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

In your personal life there will be storms. You may not be in a storm right now but keep on living because your storm is on the way. When storms come into your life that doesn’t mean that your life is over. Your life is being rewritten by God. God will allow storms to come into our lives to show us how we can overcome from it if we stay with God. In the book of Isaiah the 41st Chapter and the 10th Verse mention “Fear thou not; I am with thee: being not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Sometimes in life that you are going be tossed by the waves and the currents that seem so fierce. Regardless of what storm that you are in the Word of God that you got an anchor. That anchor will keep you steadfast and unmovable. If you are a Child of the King then your soul has been anchored. I had a storm in my life recently. I was dealing with depression in late 2010 until the middle of 2011. I had really thought that my life was a failure and almost took my own life. I had really wanted to end my life but God stepped into my life and told me that my life is not over. It wasn’t my time to come home yet because God has a lot of work for me to do. God had recreated my life by allowing me to become a writer and an author. If I had succeeded in killing myself that I would have missed out on new blessings and gifts that the Lord restored in me.

Did you know that God can even rewrite your narration by your personal faith with Him? Your testimony is the result of your faith in God. Before you gave your life to the Lord that your life was in turmoil. By giving God the praise in advance that your report will be changed by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We should be praising God not only during the good time. We should also praise God during the worst time. Our praise is helping to tell our story about how we had overcome during our worst time in our lives. You might be dealing with disappointments, failure, addictions and even being an ex felon but God can write you a new story. That story of yours in the past is not final, it’s just temporary. He will help you change your life but you have to be willing to have the faith. You must develop a personal relationship with Him. God will accept you for who you are regardless what path has taken you in life. It’s just like a person who is dirty, staring at a bathtub filled with clean soapy water, and the person says when I get clean then I will get in the water. I have news for you that you must get in that soapy water in order for you to get clean. This is also goes for giving your life to Jesus Christ as you are. By you become his disciple that He will help you to rewrite your episode. After God had rewritten your story that journey will be a better one for you and he will give you the experience of a brand new start. In Luke the 9th Chapter and the 62ndVerse said “No One, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” My advice to you please let your story be rewritten by God.
