Jesus Died and Rose Again.
Jesus The Son Of God Dwelt Among Us
The power of an electric bolt is felt and is seen. It leaves one electrified when touched.
God need not claim Himself to be "The King" because He is just "The One For Eternity"; others see it recognize it and proclaim it.
God is the Almighty One, since only one can stand Almighty only one God exists. His glory is declared in His handy work the heavens and the firmament. Day unto day it utters speech, night unto night it shows knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard (P:s19). God's eternal power and Godhead are clearly seen in all His creation so that man is without excuse(Rom 1). There is no way man can ever say, " I Never Knew Who God is". Because that when they knew God they glorified Him not as God neither were thankful but became vain in their imaginations; and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man; and to bird and four footed beasts, and creeping things.Who changed the truth of God into a lie and worshiped and served the creature more than the creator Who is blessed forever. Amen (Rom :1 20:25).
God revealed Himself to man in flesh-Jesus Christ. Zechariah's prophecy (487 B.C) " Behold your King is coming to you: he is just and having salvation; he is lowly and riding upon an ass".(Zech 9:9), was fulfilled in 'The entry of Jesus in Jerusalem' when the disciples shouted Hosanna.(Matt 21:9)
The Angel Gabriel announced to Mary of the kingdom there shall be no end (Lu 1:26-35). Pilate declared it to the Jews- 'Behold your King '(John 19:14). Pilate said, 'I find no fault in Him.' And Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross 'Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews'-(iesus Nazarene Rex Iudea). The high priest answered and said, 'Tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God'? Jesus saith unto him, 'But Jesus held His peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ the Son of God.Jesus saith unto him thou hast said...'.Matt 26 :63-64).
God is the King of all the earth (Ps 47:7,8). Stephan saw Jesus standing on the right hand of God (Act 7:56). Jesus Christ (4 B.C-29 A.D) walked on this earth- today what is called Tel Aviv the 'Living Museum'. He was born in Bethlehem where the Church of Nativity stands today. It was built by Helen the mother of emperor Constantine in 328-330 A.D. Excavations carried out by Mr. William Harvey in 1934 unveiled twenty feet below the floor level a simple inscription in Latin "Herein Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary." His hometown was Nazareth where the church of Annunciation is built on the foundation of a church erected by the crusaders in the 12th century. Beneath the nave is a chapel in which the Latin inscription "Here the word was made flesh." (John 1:14).
At the age of 30 He began His ministry. At His baptism a voice was heard from heaven saying "This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased." For three and a half years, He healed the sick. the blind received sight, the lame walked again and the dead raised to life, healing every sickness and every disease among the people about all cities and villages. (Matt 9:35). Unclean spirits when they saw Him fell down before Him and cried saying, 'Thou art Christ the Son of God'. (Mk 3:11) And He straitly charged them that they should not make Him known.
His works proved He was the Son of God: He walked on the sea of Galilee, calmed the stormy sea. (Mk 7:48) There was a boisterous wind, and when He came into the ship the wind ceased. Then they that were within the ship came and worshiped Him saying,"Of a truth thou art the Son of God" (Matt 14:33). When Jesus asked His disciples "Whom say ye that I am?" "And Simon Peter answered and said ,"Thou art the Christ the son of the living God." And Jesus answered and said unto Him, " Blessed art thou Simon Barjona for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven." (Matt 16:17).
He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus often went with His disciples and where He agonized in prayer before His betrayal by Judas(Lu 22:39-44). This garden exists today fifty yards east of Kedron bridge. At Calvary the Church of the Holy Sepulcher came into being when Constantine the monarch of Europe and Western Asia sent his mother Helena to the holy land to search the tomb in which Christ had been buried. With the aid of Eusebius bishop of Caeseria and Macarius bishop of Jersusalem, the debris from a mound was removed and a nearby tomb uncovered. Here were found three crosses and other evidences which led them to designate the place as Calvary and the tomb as the one in which Christ was lain. Here the Centurion feared greatly saying, "Truly this was the Son of God."(Matt 27:54).
Here I tremble at the truth that as Jesus walked up this hill, it was for me that he shed His blood and purchased me .
You too can belong to Him, if only you believe and accept the truth. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man cometh unto the Father but by Me."
It is the anti-Christ who will claim himself to be Christ and say, "I am Christ. "Christ warned His disciples (Matt 24:51 ). Herein lies the demarcation of truth from falsehood; of Jesus Christ from anti-Christ.
Jesus the true God Eternal Life (1 John 5:20)
Is Crucifixion a Myth
Is Crucifixion a Myth
John the Baptist cried out , Behold the lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world.(John 1:21)
If that voice is not heard today, nature will continue to utter it.The glory of God declared by the heavens day unto day and night unto night has not failed to speak of God's creation. (Ps 19) When Jesus was born the star proclaimed the birth of a king. Seeing the star wise-men travelled from the East across the desert to Herod's palace in Judea inquiring, "Where is he that is born the King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the East, and are come to worship him. " (Matt 2:2)
King Herod the great grew apprehensive when he heard the wise men, and plotted to secretly kill the baby Jesus. Sending the wise men he said, "Go and search diligently and when you have found him bring me word that I may come and worship him also.(Matt 2:3-4 ).
Lo the star guided them till it came to Bethlehem where the child was and they fell down and worshiped Jesus.(Matt 2:11).
Apparently being warned of God in a dream, the wise men changed their route. When Herod perceived that he had been mocked of the wise-men sent orders that all the children two years old and under should be slain.
God's plan can never fail .The angel appeared unto Joseph in a dream and warned them to escape to Egypt .(Matt 2:13).After the death of Herod the Great Joseph took Jesus and Mary and went down to Nazareth and dwelt therein. Jesus grew up in His home town Nazareth , and ministered in Judea from the age of thirty for three and a half years.
His journey to the cross where Jesus was crucified at Calvary;hanging on the cross for Six hours is recorded in Matthew 27:35. When Jesus was on the cross ,the passers by mocked Him ,"Save thyself ." " If thou be the Son of God ,come down from the cross."Likewise also the chief priests mocking Him with the scribes and elders said,"He saved others, himself he cannot save. " If he be the king of Israel let him now come down from the cross and we will believe him. And one of the thieves which were hanged railed on him, saying,
"If thou be Christ save thyself and us ." But the other rebuked him saying, "dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? and we indeed justly for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss."And he said unto Jesus, Lord remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom."And Jesus said unto him, "Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in Paradise.(Lu 23:39-43).
After the resurrection of Jesus two of them went to a village called Emmaus which was from Jerusalem about three score furlongs. And they talked of all the happenings, when Jesus Himself drew near and went with them, Jesus asked them ,"what do you talk and are sad?" Cleopus answered, "Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem and hast not known the things which are come to pass? "Jesus expounded the prophecies which must needs be fulfilled saying, "Ought not Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into his glory. "They invited Him to tarry with them. While Jesus brake the bread and gave to them their eyes were opened. They rose up the same hour and returned to Jerusalem. As they spake Jesus appeared to them and said, "Behold my hands and my feet, it is I myself; handle me and see; for a spirit hath no flesh and bones, as ye see me have."(Lu 24 :38,39)
After Jesus had appeared to His disciples Thomas who was not present exclaimed, "Except I see in his hands the print of the nails and put my finger into the print of the nails and thrust my hand into his side I will not believe."
After eight days Jesus appeared unto the eleven and said unto Thomas. "Reach hither thy finger and behold my hand: and reach hither thy hand and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless but believing."
And Thomas answered and said unto Him, " My Lord and my God."
And Jesus said unto him ,"Thomas because thou hast seen me thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed."(Jo 20 :27-29)
Nature continues to shout and proclaim the Gospel of the death of Jesus the Son of God: earthquakes and darkness all over the world from the sixth hour to the ninth hour; there is no speech nor language where their voice was not heard.
Down through the ages man could not wipe out the evidences of the true God, and silence the voice of the Gospel. Titus, Nero, Hitler and others; yet have they not prevailed and still another will arise.
The church of Nativity in Bethlehem, The church of Annunciation in Nazareth, the church of the Holy Sepulcher at Calvary and the Tomb: these spectacular remains of the footprints of Jesus in Bethlehem, Jerusalem and Golgotha captivating the truth, floods into our souls.
The Echo Endures Jesus Died and Rose Again.
