The law of first mention:
Do you know when certain things first appeared? I'm not talking about the old chicken and egg question. That's not one of my questions.
The Bible, being the inspired Word of God, has its own rules of interpretation, which we call Hermeneutics, and one of the hermeneutical principles is something called "the law of first mention." That's the principle that the first mention or occurrence of anything - a subject, person, place, thing, term or event - the first mention or occurrence in Scripture is significant and meaningful in interpreting later occurrences, Thus it is important to have a knowledge of Bible firsts.
Speaking of Hermeneutics, perhaps you might want to check out the featured lens below before tackling my quiz. But, if you really think you're ready now -- if you feel you can cut the mustard, are up to scriptural snuff, are a real navigator, all that good stuff, then go for it. Take my Bible quiz is what I'm saying! (Do you dare?) Good luck, and have fun. Then, let me know how you did by voting in my exit poll. Thanks.
