NFL post season - "My Predictions"

Updated on November 17, 2015

My Predictions for the Wild card games!

My predictions for this upcoming year's NFL post season games are really very simple. The Cincinnati Bengals will crush the Houston Texans in the first AFC wild card game. Followed by a similar action the very next day in the second AFC wild card game. Only this time the Pittsburgh Steelers defense will punch a big hole right through the Denver Broncos offensive line (who have now lost 3 in a row), and will become the victors. On the NFC side the New Orleans Saints will pull off a narrow victory, in front of a very happy home crowd against the stubborn Detroit lions. In the other NFC wild card game the New York Giants will hand the Atlanta Falcons an old fashion whopping.

My predictions for the divisional play off games.

In the AFC the Baltimore Ravens, who won every single one of their divisional games this season will smash the Cincinnati Bengals for the third straight time this year. Further up North the Pittsburgh Steelers will at the last minute beat the New England Patriots in front of a stunned crowd, in some very cold temperatures. On the NFC side the Green Bay Packers will shut down the New York Giants in a very low scoring game. for the final NFC divisional game the San Francisco 49ers will just plain wear down the New Orleans Saints in a dog fight of a game.

My predictions for the conference championship games!

The AFC Baltimore Ravens who won by four touchdowns in their first meeting this year, will for the 3rd straight time this season pull off a close win against an injured Pittsburgh Steeler team. The NFC will see the defending world champion Green Bay Packers lose to a much faster San Francisco 49er team. Thus setting up the scene for Super Bowl XLVI !!

My predictions for Super Bowl XLVI !

There's only one possible outcome for Super Bowl XLVI, and nobody could possibly even think about Denying this result. My prediction for Super Bowl XLVI is - The Baltimore Ravens will repeat their earlier win this season against the San Fransisco 49ers with a 16 to 6 win!!! And you can take that prediction to the bank!!!

The Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens!

Some simple facts - Over the past four seasons, the Baltimore Ravens are the only team to earn four consecutive playoff berths, and they are the only NFL team to win at least one playoff game in each of the past four seasons. In their last meeting the Baltimore Ravens beat New England, 33-14, serving the Patriots their first home playoff defeat since back in the the year 1978. It's the Baltimore Ravens time to shine!

This poll was started at the end of the very last playoff game, and ended prior to the start of the Super Bowl. What was most interesting about this poll was that both Super Bowl XLVI teams were favored equally at 50/50 prior to the start of the big game on February 5th 2012.

Who do you think will win Super Bowl XLVI ?

You Decide ?

  • 16% Baltimore Ravens
  • 7% San Fransisco 49ers
  • 8% Pittsburgh Steelers
  • 2% Atlanta Falcons
  • 5% Houston Texans
  • 22% Green Bay Packers
  • 1% Cincinnati Bengals
  • 15% New England Patriots
  • 1% Detroit Lions
  • 5% Denver Broncos
  • 8% New Orleans Saints
  • 11% New York Giants
133 people have voted in this poll.

This poll is now closed to voting.

This poll was started prior to the first game of the playoffs being played. What was interesting about this poll was that Green Bay was the most favored team out of all 12 of the playoff teams, and they failed to win ONE playoff game. Another interesting thing which I noticed was that the Cincinnati Bengals who were at 0% finally got a vote way after they were eliminated from the playoffs. Now that was one die hard fan!
